Brockram Barn is simply stunning. We had a wonderful family holiday - there was everything we could possibly want, and more! Of course, the hot tub and table tennis were fun extras, but Harriet had thought of everything and equipped the home to an extremely high standard and, as a family of five, we had plenty of space. We loved the area and did many of the suggested walks and activities, plus a few more! It was so good to be amongst the sheep, surrounded by green fields and wildlife with beautiful, ever-changing views. Thank you, Harriet and family, for a truly great time!

Fantastic long weekend away for our 27th wedding anniversary. Accommodation is spectacular and just as described. Hot tub was wonderful. Would highly recommend staying here. Thanks Rebecca for giving us a late checkout, it made for a relaxing drive home.

An absolute incredible place! A really unusual and beautiful lodge with stunning views. We had a lovely relaxing weekend for my Dad’s 70th birthday. Absolutely plan to come back, thank you so much.

thanks so much to Elaine for her hospitality. the Lodge is lovely and cozy with lots of.space...and a tumble dryer for when it rained! the welcoming cakes were a.class touch and the host was able to respond quickly and efficiently to any questions. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back next year.

A lovely cottage within walking distance of Keswick. Lots of lovely walks straight from the door or a short drive to many more. The house is very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. We felt at home straight away. There are two great eateries literally next door, the Pheasant pub and the filling station. Plus many more in the town centre. The garden is dog friendly and well fenced. The hot tub was amazing after a day on the fells. We had a great few days and will definitely return.

We spent a wonderful week in Mill Barn. Lots of small touches like flowers on arrival, brownies, milk in the fridge and the fire set up made the place really welcoming and inviting. Nice walk to the local pub but be prepared for the hill back up. Overall would highly recommend.

Just arrived home after 4 relaxing and peaceful nights. The house is situated on a farm but you wouldn’t know. Diccon showed us in when we arrived and was very welcoming and give us some advice on the surrounding area. If you’re looking to walk Hadrian’s wall this is the place, the path goes right past the farm. We did a really big walk on our 1st full day and walked all the way to Banks a little village which has part of the wall in it, on the way back we stopped in at Lanercost priory and tearoom, well worth a visit. About 8miles round trip. We then did a couple of smaller walks on the other days. Then ended each day enjoying the hot tub and managed a couple of starry nights. This is a great addition. Brampton is a nice little town with a great butchers and foodhall. Would recommend and definitely visit again. Thanks for a fantastic stay.

We absolutely loved our stay! The place was even better than described—so cosy and well-equipped. The jacuzzi was just amazing, with a beautiful view that made it extra special. We had such a wonderful time and would definitely come back. Highly recommend!

Perfect cottage for a nice weekend away with our anxious dog, very remote area and it was amazing to have a full paddock to ourselves for our dog to run around! The cottage was absolutely spotless and even came with a free breakfast! Both Peter & Hilary are on hand to help you with any questions/issues and offered a really friendly stay. Just gutted we didn’t book for longer!

Had a wonderful Christmas break at this lovely house in the peaceful village of Hightae. Very much a home from home, well equipped and comfortable. We've had several repeat visits and hope to be back again soon. John the host is always very responsive and helpful.

An absolute find! The photos don’t do this place justice. We had a really lovely, comfortable stay, it was peaceful yet a 1 minute walk from the square. It’s truely dog friendly (lots of places state dog friendly yet have tons of rules once you book!) and yet you would never know, its spotlessly clean, and very well equipped. Sandra was really responsive and helpful. We will most definitely be back 😀.

The house was immaculate, well presented and super cosy for our getaway which is exactly what we wanted. We love the village of Staveley and the incredible walks which we enjoyed with our dogs (although worth knowing that most amenities are closed on Mondays and with limited opening hours on other days). Morven and Philip were incredible hosts, timely communication and on-hand for any queries. They had thoughtfully left things out for the dogs we said we were bringing including bowls, blankets and treats. All amenities needed for a comfortable stay in the house and super comfy beds. The house is much bigger than the pictures suggest and we had ample room for 4 adults and 3 dogs. Would definitely recommend staying here and will definitely stay again!

Amazing overnight stay. Beautiful surroundings, the food In the pub was incredible. Especially the pies! Will be back again for sure. Hosts and everyone were so friendly, even being our 2 big dogs it was a great stay.

Just come back from a fantastic weekend at Cobblers Cottage. The house is immaculate and cozy and is in a fantastic location so close to all of the shops and restaurants. Bonus of having its own car space too. I would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a break to the lakes. We will definitely be back in the warmer weather!

Me and my friends had a fantastic time in Windermere thanks to the location and space we had with Johns flat. We couldn't have asked for anything more to be honest, particularly considering the low price that was paid. Will definitely stay here again when we next come to visit!

Beautiful property in a great location with amazing views. The house was absolutely spotless and with living room upstairs, it enables the wonderful views, and the balcony is perfect for your morning coffee. Simon’s instructions were perfect to find the property easily, and he was so responsive when we needed to contact him (as we locked the keys inside the property), he sorted immediately. Would definitely stay again, thank you so much.

Great place to stay, has everything you need was clean & tidy, lovely sitting outside in the evenings with the fire pit, 5mins from Amberside town witch has everything you need, lovely walks round the area, would recommend highly.

Second time staying at Ecclerigg and was perfect again. Great property, perfect for families in a wonderful location. highly recommended!!

We love this place so much we've booked again for next Christmas. The lodge itself is equipped with more things than you have at home, it is very well appointed and you feel at home as soon as you walk through the door. It is clean and beds very comfortable. The setting is beyond beautiful and we had a robin who called everyday, and a pair of deer who happily came into the bottom of the garden two of the days we were there. The Christmas decor made it extra Christmassy and my little boy soon made himself at home. With only a short walk away to Skelwith Bridge and the lovely Chesters by the River or a ten minute drive to Ambleside this is a perfect location for any couple or family wishing to relax. The owners had left us a bottle of prosecco upon arrival and gave clear and specific instructions of how to find the the lodge. A perfect retreat for a well earned relax. I'm so glad we found this little peace of heaven. Thank you Andy and Maggie.

We had a great weekend at Fir Garth. The house was well equipped for our group of 10: Good sized en-suite bedrooms with comfy beds and cosy duvets, a really well equipped kitchen ( we did lots of cooking), the main living was a great sized space, a projector, games, an extra snug room, outdoor space etc. The location was excellent, pub and shop within walking distance, excellent walks in the area, a beautiful view, quiet, easily accessible. We all agreed we would definitely come to the house again.

Raphaela and Steve were very helpful and pleasant. They encouraged us to let them know when we needed something. The cottage has a great bathroom and well-appointed kitchen and is very comfortable. We enjoyed the farm-like atmosphere—it’s so peaceful yet so close to amenities. And the grazing cows standing in the road to town were easily nudged with minimal mooing. We loved it!

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the lovely Middle Grove Cottage, and we absolutely loved it! Peaceful, clean, beautiful and extremely well located, the Cottages are surrounded by nature, framed in a setting that no pictures can make justice to. Despite this, the Cottages are still very conveniently located in relation to Ambleside and all the amenities. The pool and sauna were a very welcome extra, that our 2 boys (and us) took advantage of, and Sarah's homemade breakfast was absolutely delicious! Thank you Sarah! We will be back :)
