Stylish Shannonside Marina Front Home + Mooring

MichaelaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
we have just had a four-night break at Shannonside. David helped us feel welcome even before we arrived at the house! And we all settled and relaxed immediately with the lovely accommodation and many homely touches. Lovely calm surroundings, and fantastic restaurant, pub and shop just a short walk away. Other places of interest are easily reached by car. It's been a home from home for our family group of five adults, and when visiting the same area again we would love to re-book. Thank you David ☺️

Aofie's place was quiet, full of green and tranquility. The house was very clean and cozy. The mattresses were not the most comfortable but everything else was excellent. The kitchen was fully equipped and we were greeted with bread and cookies and crisp, which was very kind. Thank you very much.

we enjoyed a 3 night stay in this beautiful home, tastefully decorated, excellent location and everything you need for a home away from home. Justina was very proactive and responsive. The surrounding area is stunning, peaceful but convenient to local towns and activities. Our boys enjoyed karting in Carrick on Shannon and Zip It at Lough Key activity centre.
An open-plan kitchen features a central island with a wooden top, complemented by modern cabinets and pendant lights. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors provide access to the garden, showcasing a dining area with a table and chairs under natural light.

Drumleague Canal Bank House

MajaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We enjoyed our stay in the spacious and well equipped house that our host Philip arranged for us (due to the power loss cause by a storm in the original house, Philip suggested a Carrick self catering house in Carrick-on-Shannon). Located right in the center, we had a private parking, pubs and restaurants at our doorstep and a view on the beautiful Carrick marina. Philip was very friendly and helped us feel super welcome. All in all, a nice cosy house in a perfect central location.

Keogh's Country Retreat

MajaRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Michael and Nicola's place was a real treat, from the nice and warm house to their serene lands leading to the river Shannon and a lake.. Michael's welcome was so nice and enthusiastic, he was glad to give us some tips about where to go. Their 2 dogs were super fun and friendly, gave us a tour around the land :) Everything was so cosy, clean and practical, and above all - peaceful. Getting around was easy - lakes and villages all around, with Roosky at the doorstep and Carrick closeby. Would definitely recommend this lovely property :)

Riverside Marina Apartments (Apt 3)

KarenRating, 5 stars6 months ago
We used google maps to route to Hanleys Marina but unfortunately did not receive the arrival instructions so we didn't know which buttons to press at the gate. Eventually the Marina gate opened and we found a fellow inside to call our host. Someone came over right away to help us access the property. Since I didn't have an Irish phone number, they lent us a phone to call and open the main gate as we came and went. This airbnb was spacious and modern. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything that we needed to make a light meal, the laundry was efficient, and we loved watching the DVDs. It's within 10 minutes walk of groceries and restaurants. Overall, a fantastic stay and I'd definitely book again!

Beautiful Traditional Irish Cottage

PaulRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We stayed at Jim's cottage on the 2nd leg of our tour of Ireland, the peace & quiet of this area as well as the local history was much appreciated. We were able to visit two of the O'Rourke castle sites as well as O'Rourke's Table which was a pretty streneous hike but well worth the effort, I only regret not having more time to explore & fish the many canals & lakes in the area. Overall the cottage was nearly perfect for our stay & would definately recommend! Thanks, Jim & Erin Paul Roark

An Tigín, - 200 Year Old Cottage with Lake View

MarthaRating, 5 stars4 months ago
I would choose An Tigín over the Paris Ritz any day. It's an old family cottage, renovated with love and care, which the family have opened up for the use of lucky Airbnb-ers. Very cosy and comfortable, with a feeling of stepping back in time. It felt like visiting Grandma and Grandpa's house - which I haven't been able to do in 30 years. Remarkable. The hosts are very helpful and friendly.

St Johns old Schoolhouse

RachelRating, 5 stars6 months ago
St John’s school house is an absolutely stunning property inside and out that has been finished to such a high standard. It is pristinely clean with beautiful furnishings and plenty of clean towels and the bedding and beds were so comfortable to sleep in. It was so cosy and welcoming and we throughly enjoyed our stay. Marie was an excellent host and so welcoming and had been really helpful with any questions I had prior to our trip and whilst we were there. We had been left lots of basics to get us settled like milk, tea and coffee which was much appreciated after a long journey. The location is 20 minutes from Roscommon town which was perfect for us. The surroundings and views were so beautiful and waking up with the sheep and cows for company whilst having a cuppa outside in the morning was wonderful. We cannot recommend this place highly enough and it will be our first choice of accommodation for any future visits. Thank you Marie and John for creating such a hidden gem.

Canal Cottage Hazy Summer Days on the Lake

AndreaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We needed somewhere urgent to stay due to the electricity outage, and Kelli was able to accommodate us within a few hours. We had 2 dogs as well and this was not an issue. The house was beautiful, great beds, underfloor heating and a huge shower. Lots of lovely touches, including a bottle of wine, just what we needed after 13 days without power! Thanks Kelli!
