Cottage vacation rentals in Comal River

Cute little cottage with a ton of amenities right outside of downtown Wimberley. The location is great because it’s quiet but close enough for a 3 minute trip down the road to restaurants and shops. I’d recommend cabin 1/white because your porch with hot tub is very private. Everything was very clean and in excellent condition. I’d definitely stay here again.

We had a great time, Tom was quick to respond when we were booking, the place was great, brought our dogs and had a really nice time. Right on the water and we had fun fishing from the lower level of the yard. Great outdoor grill and dinning area. Would stay again. Location was great and very convenient to everything.

Great, cozy spot! Love how it’s so close to the town of Wimberley but still secluded enough to feel as if you’re camping in the Austin hills. Bed & bedding super comfortable, clean, & spacious!

Absolutely an adorable house with a lot put into the decor. It felt like home away from home. There are 3 types of AirBnbs: 1. Not going back there 2. That was enjoyable 3. Didn’t want to leave We definitely DIDN’T want to leave. -Neighborhood was clean. -Property and inside of the house was clean. -Easy to find. -Was private but yet people were around. -Adorable unique decor. -Solid A/C and heater. -Great water pressure. -Host was very responsive and friendly. We want to stay there again!!!

Fernweh AirBNB along the Guadalupe River was the best stay-cation. The amenities with pickleball, basketball, pool/hot-tub, and the river complete with private tube launch (of course!) entertained both my teenager and first grader for days! They even allowed us to bring our dog ( for a very reasonable added fee ) was so thoughtful and generous. We can’t wait to return again this summer! Thank you, Dakota, for a fantastic Spring Break experience for my family & I.

Amazing! Sweet hosts, definitely took care of all of our needs and went above and beyond!!!! We enjoyed the views, the hot tub, the deer and the peacocks! Thank you Diana for being responsive and helpful during our stay :) cute quiet little getaway, perfect for what we needed it for.

Star House is the perfect place for a beautiful relaxing retreat. Wayne and Kathy are perfect hosts. They made us feel welcome, communicated in a timely manner, and attended to every detail. Everything was as described and then some. Wonderful outdoor space, patios, and scenery. We would definitely come to Star House again!

Shelly’s place was just as described! Our dogs loved the land and looking at the chickens. We used the kitchen a few times and all cookware was provided, which was great! Shelly was a great host as she provided snacks, coffee, and fresh eggs. It is evident that she is an intentional host and loves having guests. Her two labs are super sweet girls. The cottage was about 20 +/- mins from downtown Austin and even closer to hill country drives & scenery. Overall, we (& our pups) enjoyed our stay and I recommend to any traveler looking for a peaceful, quiet stay while visiting the Austin area!

Very clean, cozy, comfortable place with a great view of the lake. Our stay was short for this trip. I will definitely reach out again next time I need a place in New Braunfels. Would recommend to my friends.

A quiet wonderful place to stay . I felt so relaxed and it was such a nice change for my wife and I since we both have busy schedules. The river is walking distance and there is a really nice brewery close by. We are definitely going back and cant wait. I want to thank Katie for being such a great host and responding to our questions so quickly.

What a beautiful and fun 🤩 place to retreat to. Great yard for the dogs, gorgeous view, fantastic treehouse deck, super comfy beds, private and peaceful. Great hosts too - very friendly and responsive. Made us feel welcome!

We had a great time staying 4 nights at Jim&Tambra's Casita. Great location between San Marcos and Wimberley. Easy access to restaurants, San Marcos attractions and located in beautiful TX hill country. The casita is located in a super quiet neighborhood, especially enjoyed the option to go for runs or walks in the quiet neighborhood streets as well the path on the property. The casita is exactly as described, super clean, everything is new and super functional. Jim&Tambra were very helpful and even explained some of the uniqueness of their beautiful place. Definitely recommend and will stay here again for future visits!

Beautifully decorated home. Very clean with nice bedding and towels. Lots of small touches such as blackout curtains. Location is easily accessible to everything around the lake. The street is very quiet. We enjoyed the down time away from the city!

Wonderful stay for our family of 5! Rick was an amazing host and the home was in excellent condition. Peaceful, full of amenities, and the property is beautiful. You can tell much thought and care is put into the home. As a bonus, the kitchen is amazingly well stocked. It was the perfect getaway for us. We always love visiting Canyon Lake and hope to return to Oak Hill in the future!

We celebrated our 6 year anniversary and Audrey’s home was the perfect peaceful getaway! We had planned to explore the lake and local restaurants that she provided us with but the home was so comfy we did not leave at all! We enjoyed every aspect that the home offered! Our favorite part was the tub/shower the fire pit and beautiful views from the kitchen! We will visit again!

Janice’s home was conveniently located in our daughter’s neighborhood and very nice. We had everything we needed and more. Close to shops and dinning in Wimberley. We really enjoyed being so close to our daughter with all the things we needed. We’ll definitely rent again on our next visit! Thank you Janice!

This trip was a great experience! The Airbnb itself had a very comforting and relaxing vibe. It was nice to sit on the porch and unwind listening to the birds chirp. The owner James was responsive and thorough with directions and any concerns we had. I would definitely recommend checking it out if you’re planning on staying in the area!

Yeah- go ahead and book this place NOW!! It’s open and airy with 😍 views. We had everything we needed to cook meals and relax just like we were at our house including tv options. It’s definitely quiet and relaxing. We plan to visit again in the future when relaxation calls. Hosts are prompt and created a resource guide that is replete with suggestions and ways to enjoy your stay. All the best.

I had the most wonderful experience staying here! The hosts were incredibly hospitable, making me feel comfortable and right at home from the moment I arrived. The space offers plenty of privacy, and it’s the perfect size for solo travelers or couples. Both the exterior and interior are absolutely stunning! If I could, I’d have them come decorate my own home! Everything about my stay was cozy, inviting, and truly felt like a home away from home. I could go on and on about how great it was! I can’t wait to return to San Antonio and stay here again. Highly recommend!
