House vacation rentals in Colonial Beach

Only negative is we could not enjoy much of the beautiful outside property do to cold temps. Truly million dollars views. So quiet and peaceful. Barry is super friendly and accommodating. Will book again when we return for summer meets.

We had a great stay here. The location is great and less than 2 hours from DC. The house was large and cozy, with everything we needed to enjoy our quiet weekend. The restaurants and breweries in town were also a lot of fun. We fully intend to come back and visit soon!

Andrea was extremely proactive and responsive to our questions, even reaching out ahead of time to make sure we were aware of work being done and arranged for late check-out, a huge help for our group. The local recommendations were really appreciated, and it's such a beautiful location along the water.

Peace, comfort, beauty with every possible ammenity. Outstanding in every possible way. Everything about this home, area, and host is "the best". Every room is decorated beautifully. The beds are extremely comfortable, all furniture is clean, cozy and perfect. Watching the water and associated wildlife/birdlife from the deck and/or kitchen/living rooms was amazing---swans, geese, ducks. We were here off season and the neighbors were kind, friendly and fun. We walked all around the island, again off season, so it was slow and easy to walk the road. Along our walk, we enjoyed the local farm life, as a few folks had turkeys, rosters, Emus and dogs. Just a perfect get-away.

Dale's place was great. After Dale gave us a tour and we went grocery shopping and settled in, we felt calm and peaceful here. There were ample amenities in the home for us to make us comfortable, and we spent our time doing as little as possible - taking in the waterfront views from the deck and the hot tub. We felt sad to leave and appreciated the time to rest and rejuvenate and reflect! We would stay here again!

I like the house is more what expected definitely I’ll back again

We had a wonderful time here! We came for a peaceful wintertime getaway to get out of DC for a long weekend. Matt provided instructions in advance so we had no issues accessing the space. The area is very quiet, the frozen river honestly looked beautiful from the porch, and the house was clean and well-maintained. We did not explore the area much because it was very cold, but the house was warm, cozy, and comfortable - exactly what we were looking for! We would definitely recommend if you're looking for a quiet weekend away.

Host was very friendly, very responsive and very helpful. Place had expansive windows with beautiful views of the Potomac river and it was very relaxing to be there. Only complaint would be that some of the place was a bit dated, but that did not significantly impact the overall positive experience for us.

It was absolutely wonderful staying at Joanne's home. It was very comfortable and loved the outdoor firepit. Very peaceful and lovely home. We would love to come back again for another visit.

I recently rented this beautiful place over the weekend to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday with our family, and it was an unforgettable experience. The house itself was nothing short of amazing – beautifully designed, stylish, and extraordinary in every way. The surroundings and the garden were surreally beautiful, creating a serene and picturesque environment. The pool was incredible and provided the perfect spot for relaxation and fun. As the night came to a close, I was taken by surprise when my boyfriend asked me to marry him and put a ring on my finger. This house will forever hold a special place in my heart as the backdrop of one of the most important moments of my life. I am immensely grateful to the hosts Sharon and Nicolas for their hospitality, truly made us feel welcome and added to the wonderful experience. The house has such a kind energy, you can feel how much love and effort is put into it from the hosts, once again THANK YOU!

The area and view are beautiful and the home's decor is welcoming. The home was very comfortable for our family group and had a VERY well-stocked kitchen. The master bed was VERY comfortable as were the rest of the beds. My husband and I slept well. We all felt at home. MJ was very responsive when I had questions and communicated about the property in clear, concise language. The host provided many outdoor recreation opportunities, which included paddleboards, kayaks, and life jackets. There was a nice sized pool but we were visiting out of season so we did not use it. The exercise room downstairs has a lot of equipment. We all enjoyed our time together. Our family is asking to come back again next year. Thanks for a great stay!

We had a lovely Christmas here and it was a lovely neighborhood. Friendly neighbors too they helped us jump our car. Beautiful property on the water.

I can’t say enough good things about this home! The surrounding area and pond were beautiful, the interior of the home was contemporary and sparkling clean. There were so many thoughtful details like a clear sign with WiFi information, a basket of toys for kids and plenty of yard games! Beyond how amazing the house was, what stood out to me most was how great the host Patrick was. A death in the family caused us to change our plans and he was considerate, caring and extremely accommodating through the process. He was also quick to respond when I realized I left something at the house. This was hands down the best Airbnb experience I have ever had!

it was right across the street from the beach. It was a great time. Easy to walk to the beach. Kite flying was fun. Great place for your family.

Janice was a wonderful host. The space is large and accommodated our family for Thanksgiving. Well equipped kitchen. A nice accessible ensuite for anyone with mobility concerns. Between the large outdoor space and gaming basement, the kids always had something to do. Perfect for us and Janice quickly responded to any questions. We'd stay here again.

Absolutely perfect! Historic home that is just lovely and perfectly updated. We loved the home and all the history of the house was fun to read. Very quiet location and the sunset views were spectacular. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook and bake for family meals. Home was tidy and well thought out. Layout was great with guests having their own baths and spacious for everyone to be together or find a spot for reading/relaxing. We enjoyed the fire places on chilly nights and wish we had more time to enjoy the outdoor fire pit. Perfectly decorated home and very comfortable. Was immaculate and one of our fav stays!

The view is incredible and the setting is so peaceful. The kids loved the bunk beds and the master bath with the jacuzzi tub. Phi and Walter were super responsive hosts and responded immediately with help when we shared a few issues. This is a good spot for enjoying Lusby with a group!

We had such a wonderful stay for our Mother-Daughter weekend! The home was spacious, worked beautifully for the six of us! Sitting on the beautiful front porch watching the sun come up over the river was amazing! Great place for a family stay!! ❤️❤️❤️

This place is truly a hidden gem! I’ve stayed here twice now and plan to make it an annual tradition. It’s perfect for a weekend getaway with amazing views, pet friendly, a fishing pier, spacious lawn for games, a cozy fire pit, and a grill. The common living room is ideal for gaming and movie nights. Highly recommend!

Second time staying here and you can’t beat the location. If you love being on the water and are looking for a nice escape, this is your place. Colin is a great host too. Highly recommend to everyone !

This house was perfect for our group. We had 12 staying and there was a room for everyone. We enjoyed all the amenities and spaces. We booked this place because of its remote location as we planned on spending our time together in one place. We enjoyed the movie theater, the gym and the bar area in the back building. The views are beautiful and peaceful as well! We truly loved this property! Couple of notes, Be careful on spiral staircase, we did have one small slip there, but not the first time our group has experienced this. Since we booked to stay on/inside property all weekend together, we cooked our own food. In addition to being beautiful, the oven is an old school gas stove. It is tricky to use and also on the smaller side. Once we figured it out, we managed. Just something to consider if you plan on cooking.

If you are looking for a peaceful escape, you found it. Although this home can be used for large gatherings, it is also the perfect getaway for 2. My husband and I loved watching the water and the natural wildlife. DO NOT MISS THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE THIS HOUSE!
