Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Clarence

Very spacious home with everything we needed. Spectacular mountain views made even more stunning by the snow that fell during the first night we were there. Great to have wood stove which we used the first morning we awoke because the temperature had dipped to 12c! Lots of extra blankets in the hall cupboard for which we were most grateful. Too bad we booked only two nights - certainly worth a longer stay (and, due to the size of the house, with more people!) Highly recommend Gerhard’s place.

Little Rose cottage is such a beautiful period home. Tracey has obviously taken every effort to renovate this wonderful cottage. Located in a peaceful surrounded by magnificent mountains. Take the time to walk up the hill opposite to take in the wonderful views.

Really lovely place to stay. This house was plenty big enough for our 3 families and very secure for the dogs. Susan was very friendly, responsive and great to deal with. The house itself was a 20min walk from town but was extremely quiet and peaceful. Only downside was no aircon. Was had 30+ degree days and although there was a ceiling fan in the lounge and 2 portable fans in the house, it was very hot and hard to get to sleep. Could not fault the house itself, we will definately be back.

Absolutely loved our stay here! The house is so unique, well decorated, fun and beautiful. The furniture is comfortable and lots of it. The beds have clean, gorgeous linens. The property is spacious, private and just gorgeous. The owner really thinks of the little details to make your stay comfortable. You are a 10ish minute drive to town and a quick walk to a private beach. We already booked another stay here and will be back many times!

After getting stuck in the area following a crash 15mins up the road, Jane was kind enough to let us book her Airbnb the same day. Jane is so responsive and the Airbnb was beautiful. It was so comfortable and clean, the road was quiet with plenty of space to park, there are some lovely restaurants 5mins down the road and it’s definitely one we will be saving to stay at again. Thank you Jane!

Andrew was a fantastic host and was very responsive to all questions and queries. He was proactive in reaching out to us when there was an unexpected power outage. The house and the kitchen were very well appointed. Plenty of room for us all. I recommend his property to others.

A classic Kiwi Bach (holiday house) with all the charm and warmth of a weekender, location is a quiet street with a 2min walk to everywhere in Hanmer. You feel like you’re in someone’s home with games, puzzles and great books to read, the weather was so nice in Feb we couldn’t justify getting stuck inside although we wanted to, just watch parking cars under the trees they drop stuff.

Absolutely amazing house - large new and extremely well furnished in an excellent location close to everything Hanmer has to offer.

Beautiful accommodation in a fantastic location. Clean, comfortable and well catered for. Would highly recommend.

Second time we’ve stayed here while visiting Hanmer with family, and another great place to stay. Very close to downtown and the water park. Only shortfall is dishes, glasses and cups are very limited, so you’ll need to hand wash before you come close to filling the dishwasher. Hand to believe they don’t stock more than six of each item.

Spectacular view and comfort. Janice had every detail covered. Directions were excellent. Very easy to find location. The inside and outside was gorgeous. Beds were comfortable. Water was hot. Hot tub jets and temperature was ideal. Very spacious (there were 7 of us … from 30’s to 60 years old). Janice was prompt in responding and thorough. Close to town … restaurants, bars, shopping, grocery stores, gas stations, Dusky dolphin snorkeling, kayaking, sightseeing fur seals, zip lining and so much more. We HIGHLY recommend Janice’s place.

What a fabulous lodging right next to the heart of Hamner Springs. Cannot fault the accommodation or interaction with the hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the stunning views and the residence itself. We will stay again.

Perfect for our family. Easy walking distance to town and had everything we needed.
