Wonderful I would say if I should describe the apartment in just one word. Actually, the reality has surpassed the photos. A special highlight is the spacious, tastefully furnished living room with glass front onto the protected terrace. Sitting alone the sunrise over the sea by the sofa, enjoying a cup of coffee in hand is priceless. A small supermarket and an almost private sandy beach are a few minutes' walk away. Or you can walk to the Hermitage and the lighthouse on top of hills. Car hire is recommended to see the surrounding villages and towns such as Almunecar and Nerja. The great stalactite caves in Nerja are an absolute must - reachable in 20 minutes from the apartment.

Very nice place to stay with a unique location. Perfect base for excursions to the surrounding area. By car in 25 minutes in the center of Malaga. The bus line passes directly by the house (to Malaga city center in about 1 hour). The N-340a road leads directly past the house, but the road noise is negligible given the perfect beach location. Especially on the beach side, you can hear the sound of the sea. All necessary shops are very close. Great place to just spend a few relaxing days at the beach. We would love to spend a few days there again.

If it's a quiet, relaxing break that you crave, then Simon and Jeanette's Casa Jose Ramon is quite simply, a wonderful place to stay. For two weeks, we enjoyed spectacular mountain scenery, relaxed in their spacious, comfortable and stylish cottage where every detail had been attended too and provided. Our hosts were on call and responsive when we needed them and the three resident cats kept a respectful distance providing they were fed on demand. We toured the area and discovered some fabulous Spanish culture whilst at the same time enjoyed the local hospitality and tapas in Riogorda, Colmenara and Comares. Best of all, we relaxed in the garden in the warm Spanish winter sunshine and had a delightfully memorable break. We will certainly return and would not hesitate in giving Casa Jose Ramon our highest recommendation. Thank you for your hospitality.

We had a fantastic few days at Eero's place. What a wonderful place to be. The view was stunning, and we spent a lot of time on the spacious terrace, even in February. The apartment was furnished stylishly, and the kitchen had everything you can wish for. Eero was an excellent host, and provided us with advice and help whenever needed.

A place above the clouds! Such a tranquil and beautiful spot, extremely quiet and incredible views that you don’t want to take your eyes off! Everything is as described and we enjoyed every minute!

Jorge’s place was just as pictured. The house was beautiful, clean and cozy. Jorge met us at check in and provided clear instructions, including regarding the parking. The house is located in a small village so there isn’t anything to do there, but it’s a great place to gather with a group of friends and have a good time. We went to the grocery store in the next town (12 minute easy drive) and purchased groceries and drinks. We enjoyed staying at Jorge’s house, thank you for the hospitality!

What a beautiful and special place this is! The apartment is lovingly decorated and well-maintained, with lots of beautiful art, sculptures and overall a great atmosphere — an ideal spot to stay for a few days. The garden is absolutely wonderful, crazy views on the mountains and Frigiliana and plenty of lovely spots to relax and read a book in the sun. My partner broke his foot while on holiday — which I wouldn’t recommend if you’re staying high up in the mountains — but luckily, Robert was a huge help, assisting us with the trip to the hospital and getting us some groceries and crutches in the days that followed. It’s always a bit nerve-wracking when something happens on holiday in a country where not everyone speaks English, so we were incredibly grateful to have Robert nearby. Thanks again, and we can’t wait to plan our next trip to La Bolina!
