Vacation rentals in Chejelipes

We really enjoyed our stay here. The flat was spotlessly clean, including all the bedding and towels. We appreciated that there were also beach towels as well as bathroom ones- very handy! The instructions to get inside were clear and we were greatful for the flexible self check in. Upon arrival we were surprised to find the roof terrace was shared and not directly off the flat, as I didn't feel that this was clear in the listing, however it seemed to be only us using it and it was easy enough to get to. Unfortunately there is some building work happening in the town and therefore some noise during the day when on the roof- something I appreciate is out of the hosts control, and it is quiet in the flat. The view of the mountains and sea from the terrace is lovely. The location is great- just a short walk to the town centre, which is very quiet and has a couple of nice restaurants. The kitchen was very well stocked (although the oven does not work) and the bed was comfy.

A beautiful house, large, bright, well furnished and well equipped. Very clean. The cozy indoor patio, the terrace with a valley view. Rooms overlooking the valley. Effective and friendly communication. A lovely place. Trails within reach. It was not a problem for us but there are some steps and a little ascent to walk to get to the house, in any case we were offered help to bring our luggage. Highly recommended

Wonderful accommodation spread over four floors where we, a family of four, mostly used the two floors in the middle where three of four bedrooms, as many bathrooms, the kitchen and the larger terrace were available. All bedrooms were well separated, all bathrooms accessible from common areas. Hard good beds. Good opportunities for airing in the bedrooms. Good toilets, three of four with shower. The kitchen was spacious and equipped for all kinds of cooking. The terrace with direct exit from the kitchen was absolutely fantastic, spacious, partly under the roof, a wall that could be rolled down as a shelter, view of the city but quiet and private. In ten minutes you walk down to the city center, but home it takes slightly longer because of all the stairs. Free parking could always be found on the street where the house was located. Large grocery stores within walking distance, full of restaurants. Nice ordinance hiking trails go out from the city, even nicer one can reach by 20-50 minutes drive on well-kept roads. We stayed 2.5 weeks, two adults, two teenagers.

I had a lovely time staying at Casa Ondina. The view was breathtaking, the terrace huge and very sunny even in January. Manuel had left a leaflet with walks around la Gomera that proved to be very useful. The kitchen was surprisingly well equipped. Special mention to the filter coffee machine. The reason I didn’t give 5 stars for the location is because I didn’t have a car and Hermigua is a bit isolated. The wifi was working well enough for me to work but I had two very short power cuts and the upload and download speed were about 10 and 5 so much lower than in other areas in the Canary Islands but good enough for me to work. I would definitely stay there again if I had a car.

What a wonderful place. We stayed for 8 days and it proved to be the perfect location for exploring the island and hiking high into the mountains. There are a variety of walks directly from Hermigua, and bus stops very close to get to the start of other walks. No need to hire a car as we arrived by bus - which dropped us very close to Leticia's house. Several small supermarkets had fresh fruit and vegetables, as we liked to cook each day rather than eat out. The kitchen had all the plates, mugs and equipment to do this. There are also cafes nearby for breakfast and fresh bread and pastries. Wonderful warm weather and plenty of sunshine in January.

We felt very much welcomed. Nice little goodies on arrival, which were very much appreciated, since we had not gone shopping since our arrival in Tenerife and were very hungry by then ;o) Being now in Playa de Santiago, we appreciate even more the well and generous equipped house, like oil, herbs, washing powder ect. which you need only in very small amounts and it's so annoying if you need to by larg quantities. Manuel e Maria were always just a text message away when ever there was a question. When we had complications with the toilet once (our fault), we were helped by them straight away, who organised a lovely neighbour and a plumber at once - and this was New Years Eve! Vallehermoso is wonderful in Dec./Jan. We, 2 adults 2 young student adults, had enough space for living and lots to do, exploring the surrounding. Absolutely to recommend.
