Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Chaffee County

Fantastic location and a home that has everything! The kitchen stood out as extraordinarily well equipped, with commercial grade range, spices, great knives and two grills. Very Comfortably slept our family of 5. Stayed warm despite freezing outdoor temps. Great beds and linens. Hot water and good pressure. Walk to everywhere in downtown Salida. Grocery store and park for the kids were less than a half mile away. Tom and Leann were excellent hosts. We will be back!

We had a great stay! The location was ideal for us—within a few miles’ reach of Salida’s restaurants, shops, etc., but private and removed from highway noise. The mountain view from the kitchen/dining/patio area is beautiful! Plenty of space for our group of 8, comfy couch seating for movie nights in the living room, and comfortable beds.

We had a great stay here! Would definitely book again in the future. Walking distance to all of downtown, where you can find great restaurants and a lot of things to do! Highly recommend!

Beautiful well-furnished home near downtown restaurants, park and river. It was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Our family of 4 had plenty of room. We brought our dog, which was a huge treat for us, and she loved getting to walk around the town. She is a bit particular with where she potties and since there wasn’t a yard with grass at the house, we had to walk her to the park each time, but it’s just a short walk across the street. Overall, this house and its location can’t be beat! Wendy is a great host! We would definitely recommend staying here!

Daylene and Cody’s place is incredible! It’s quiet, peaceful, and has some Of the best views around, especially from the hot tub. We really enjoyed our stay and it was a great homebase for a weekend spent skiing at Copper. Definitely recommend!

First, take a photo of the key code and text to your group. I did not and left my phone in the house. So, yes, I locked us out. Everything was on my phone. My friend sent a message through AirBnB to Wendy explaining what happened. She called her right away and got us back in the house. Phew! The house is a 10-minute walk to downtown Salida, which is so cute. Full of shops, places to each, art galleries, stores for kids, an arcade, etc. One can walk to the grocery too. The house had everything we needed. It is nicely maintained, quiet and comfortable. Our only issue was the one bathroom. We managed with it. If you have a teen who takes forever anytime they in the bathroom, this could be a problem. Plenty of hot water for several showers in a row and lots of towels. Really like having the washer/dryer access even a drying rack. I would stay here again!

This place was amazing. It was the perfect layout for us and our three kids, and it is very close to all the fun things in downtown Salida. It’s the perfect place to stay whether you’re enjoying the river and trails in the summer or skiing Monarch Mountain on spring break. We would definitely stay here again!

Our trip was absolutely amazing, thanks to Raul and Brenda’s incredible home! The property was everything we dreamed of (and what they advertised). From check-in to check-out, Raul and Brenda were responsive and accommodating, and that was so appreciated.

Kiddo loved the climbing wall. We loved the walkability to Main Street. Would stay again .

Beautiful Airbnb in the heart of South Main! Easy walk to The Surf Hotel, boulder garden, restaurants and the river. The beds were extremely comfortable. We would definitely consider booking again! The only thing to be aware of is that South Main has construction going on. Throughout the day dump trucks and other construction vehicles could be heard driving by the property. However none of the construction is immediately next door and it was quiet at night.

We've stayed in many rentals over the years and this one is just perfect! It's a basement unit but windows let in light--I also think it was quieter being on base floor. We stayed during a very quiet time--not busy , no one staying in the upper units. BV is an awesome town and this unit is located in the new/upcoming area of South Main, VERY easy stroll to the ever beautiful Arkansas River , Surf Hotel (great dinner) and Eddyline Brewery. You can also easily walk to the 'OG' Main Street for more restaurant choices (Simple Eatery is so good!). The unit was exceptionally clean, kitchen well-stocked (with nicely upgraded dish/cookware), great shower am comfy bed. I highly recommend staying at the Alpine Den :)

I had to book this place very last minute due to a different airbnb not working out, and it was so great! Very nice space and easy check in.

Lovely quiet spot. As a solo traveler I felt safe. I went in the mornings to the hot springs, cottonwood is only 15 min away. Pretty large for a studio. It is attached to their house, but I didn’t hear any noise. It was nice to feel the river nearby even though it was very cold outside so I didn’t really go down. Thanks for hosting, I would definitely come back.

We had the most wonderful stay at this adorable Airbnb! The space was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and well decorated, and it felt like the perfect home away from home. The location couldn't have been better—right in the heart of downtown Salida, with easy access to everything we wanted to do and see. The host was incredibly communicative and made sure we had everything we needed for a smooth and enjoyable stay. The apartment was perfectly stocked with all the essentials and little thoughtful touches that made our time there so comfortable. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Salida—can't wait to return!

This was a perfect spot to stay right at the base of Monarch pass. Kitchen was fully stocked. Beds were comfortable. Dawn was very quick to respond and provided some recommendations for things to do and restaurants in the area. Would definitely consider staying there again.

Hanni's condo is comforting, earthy colors and cheerful art make it soothing to relax in. Beds were comfy. Easy to cook in. Lovely to walk to both main street and the Arkansas river trails. Highly recommend, will stay again!
