Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Central Saanich

The Twin Palms at Forbidden Island Motor Lodge is beyond cool. The mid century mod vibes were so rad, from the decor to the layout. The location is easily walkable to the local restaurants and the ferry. Comfy bed, private soaking tub outside and the fire pit were great after a long day of exploring the island. Like a private groovy sanctuary. It was like being transported to the 60s in the best possible way. I was only sorry I didn’t bring a caftan. Can’t wait to come back and see how the entire property develops. Jason has a vision and it’s got fabulous potential for an entire resort.

Love this tiny house. It is in a beautiful spot and had good parking. Nice kitchen with everything you need. We had a deer visit us the next day and it was sweet. We enjoyed our stay

We were very impressed with this Airbnb - definitely exceeded our expectations in terms of location, size, and things to do close by. Check-in was a breeze, we had absolutely everything we needed at the airbnb (and more), beds and linens were so comfortable, and very spacious. An added bonus was the swan lake sanctuary within 5 minutes walking distance, which was great for us to explore as a family Super close to downtown so didn't feel like an inconvenience to drive to go shopping and explore. Would highly recommend and I'd stay again in a heartbeat

While getting some work done on our own home, we needed a quick place to stay for a week with our two dogs that wasn't too expensive. Doug's house was a good economical choice. It had everything we needed, including a fenced front and back yard, was quiet, and convenient to a few amenities (easy walk to Miche Cafe & Bar & The Lighthouse Brewery) and close to Esquimalt High School (with its big grassy fields to get some frisbee in for our 4 footers). The photos showed us exactly what to expect - a sort of shabby chic - including some quirky things like a drumset & piano, old Hi-Fi gear (including a record player and an eclectic record collection), puzzle art and skateboards on the walls. A modernized bathroom with heated floors was a nice contrast too. Simple, easy, convenient, roomy, low cost, unfussy. In that context, high marks! Doug was nice to work with too :-)

We had a nice stay of three weeks at this Airbnb. The location is perfect, just a short drive from Victoria as well as close to stunning hiking trails. The place was very clean. We liked that it had a large TV in the living room and another one in the master bedroom. The gas fireplace in the living room was perfect for taking the chill off of the downstairs area in the morning, the only time we felt we needed to use it. The master bedroom was spacious with lots of closet space and drawers. We used the second bedroom as an office, and liked that there was enough space for two people to work. The upstairs bathroom featured a huge walk-in shower that was a real treat. We also enjoyed meeting the owner and his friendly dog, Biscuit, who live next door. We thought this airbnb was very reasonably priced and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

: We stayed at Jiva’s Airbnb for a girls’ weekend to celebrate my mom’s 70th, and it was absolutely perfect! The views of the ocean and mountains are simply breathtaking—better than we could have imagined. The accommodations were wonderful: very clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed. We especially loved relaxing in the hot tub every night, taking in the scenery and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. It was the perfect spot for a special celebration, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!

Karli Ann's place was amazing yet again. We've stayed at many of her locations and this one was amazing. The view, privacy, hot tub were so nice to have for the week we were there. Her landscaping dreams are amazing, and hopefully we will be able to see the rewards of all her hard work next time we come. Great location, host, and view.

Lovely cabin for the perfect nature weekend escape. We loved spending time with the dogs, relaxing in the hammock, and watching old movies at night beside the fire. Michele was a great host and we would come back again!

We had an incredible time at The Salty Cabin! The place was exactly like the pictures – beautiful, cozy, and well-maintained. Jessica thought of everything, even providing a little book of local recommendations, which was super helpful during our stay. The cabin is also conveniently located near some stunning trails, including Ruckle Provincial Park, making it the perfect spot for nature lovers. We truly enjoyed our time here and couldn't recommend it more!

There was 6 of us staying in the cabin and we were never tripping over one another. It was clean and cozy. We had to start a fire one night as it was damp outside and cool inside and we love wood fire heat, so having that option was fantastic. We could dry out our wet gear right by the fire. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with pots and pans and bowls and cutlery. We found out that the renters before us broke the BBQ so they quickly replaced it with a brand new one the very next day and had it all set up in no time! We had a great chat with the owners and they gave us a few great tips on where to go fishing. Their property is beautiful, the 20 acres to explore were fantastic. We loved the location too. It was central to most of our family that lives on the island so we were able to visit lots. It was only about 35 minutes from Victoria and the Sooke Potholes hike was so pretty. There are so many beautiful hikes it was hard to pick just a few.

Great spot and super easy. Shane was helpful, place was clean, quiet, well-equipped and comfortable. We’ll be back next time we’re on Orcas!

Such a beautiful home and getaway. The area is nice and quiet. We loved our time here at Trini and Kim’s cabin. They were super responsive when we had questions. Every thing you can possibly need was in the cabin. They even had plates, dinner ware for toddlers/kiddos! Tons of tea and all the appliances and gadgets you could possibly need. Our little guy and our doggies loved the yard space in front. Cabin is a bit close to the road but it’s a quiet road so we didn’t hear or worry about road traffic. Loved the windows and looking out as we enjoyed the fireplace and living room. Really enjoyed their spot.

cozy cabin, just as advertised. the cabin was nice. washroom was a little tight but wasn't a big deal for me. it's right on the beach with a spectacular view. Host we're very friendly and helpful. They had lots of great recommendations. they were even nice enough to invite guest to a bonfire. definitely worth the stay and hope to be back
