Private suite vacation rentals in Central Otago District

We had a lovely stay at Sukhi & Glenn’s place on the lake. They were very hospitable and friendly and provided what we needed for our week long stay with our baby. We would love to come back and would highly recommend their place.

This was the perfect place to stay to explore/hike around Wanaka. Karina made check in easy and was easy to reach. The room was spotless and cozy and very quiet. Karina had a list of recommendations for restaurants and things to do, which was very helpful (I went to the lavender farm after I checked out - it was nice!). There was a kettle with coffee and tea available, which was perfect in the morning.

This is a lovely place to stay. Anyone you happened to meet on the farmlet was super friendly. You were able to wander through the grounds and pick a strawberry or two or more, pick tomatoes off the vine and anything else that took your fancy. The shared bbq space was a bonus to an already well equipped kitchen. Sharon and Peter certainly have the hospitality business wrapped up with a big ribbon on top. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

I truly enjoyed staying here. Damian and his partner were both so helpful and kind. Any question that I had was immediately answered. There is a beautiful backyard with a picnic table that is so peaceful. The outdoor area is also very cozy. Until now it was my favorite place I've stayed at during my time in NZ!

What an amazing place to stay, we loved it here. The view over the mountains is stunning. The guest suite is attached to the main house but felt completely private, it is very well designed so that even outside you are not overlooking the space of the main house. The location is incredible, feels beautifully remote but then just a few minutes drive down the road to wineries. We loved our stay!

Paul & Lynne were great hosts. Friendly but unobtrusive. The place was so comfortable and was really relaxing. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. We actually ended up getting takeaway and sitting outside, enjoying the garden and mountain views. The place was very clean. Highly recommend and look forward to coming back in the future.

Wendy and Miles’ Airbnb is modern, clean, and in a great location. They are friendly hosts and were very accommodating to us.

A good place to stay for a night. The whole bedroom and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. It is an ensuite bedroom attached to the back of a house. The airport is nearby and the neighbors are close. We heard sick people coughing, dogs barking and other folks yelling and cursing at each other. It's a little drive to Queenstown Centre, and the road there is busy, so consider that if it's important to you. There were 3 or 4 cars parked on the front lawn, which we thought was a bit odd. We found parking on the roadway no problem, so that was good. Overall, it was a fine stay for a night. Easy in and out.

I wish we were able to stay longer! Kim’s spot was great and in an awesome location- Maybe a 5 minute drive to town! Kim was also super responsive and very kind which was much appreciated! Also, all of the bunnies in the backyard made my day :)

It was a pleasure to stay at the house I was quite ill so spent the whole time in bed where it was wonderfully peaceful

Jessica's place is very good and clean. Quick drive to town centre of wanaka. Room is a private room with its own bathroom and own exit so feels like your own place. Would stay again

I can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay at Claire’s place in Wanaka! Everything from her suggestions for restaurants to her attention to every detail including special coffee, homemade muffins, muesli, cookies, wine and so much more!! The towels were super soft and it was the best shower of our 3 week trip! She even had a birthday ballon for my husband on his Birthday! The location was perfect.. close enough to downtown Wānaka but far enough away for an absolute retreat!! We will be back as soon as possible!!! Thank you Claire and Jim making this our favorite stay of our trip!

The spot was a lovely home base for us during our time in Wānaka! We loved spending our evenings here soaking in the beautiful views after coming back from our day adventures. Bedroom and bed were very comfortable, helping us get some of the better sleep we've had on our trip. Hosts were friendly and very responsive too. Would definitely come back!

We had a great stay in Northlake, the unit is private, cosy, warm and modern. Easy parking outfront and a small private patio which gets great sun. Emma was a thoughtful host that gave excellent instructions and left a few welcome treats for us which were greatly appreciated. Northlake is a short drive to Wanaka or walking distance to the local pub. We visit regularly to be with friends and family and would definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely stay with Michele, Francis and Coco. They were very friendly and helpful, the accommodation was comfortable (particularly the beds) and it was well equipped. We would definitely recommend for a short stay.

Best Airbnb I’ve stayed in during my New Zealand trip. Loved the privacy, the squeaky cleanliness (I think I have pretty high standards), and all the small touches Elizabeth has put to make the Airbnb feel like a home away from home. Elizabeth also gave great local suggestions on gift ideas! It’s also <10 min drive from the hustle and bustle of Wanaka, which I appreciated in having a quiet peaceful place to return to after a day of activity. Also eternally grateful for a washer / dryer after two weeks of travel.

We loved our stay at Kerryn’s. The view of the mountain is incredible! The peaceful location was perfect for us, and we loved the short walk down to the river. Highly recommend.

We had a great stay at Black Peak Apartment. I would highly recommend this place. It is modern, spotlessly clean, well appointed and very comfortable. It has a beautiful mountain views from all the rooms.

Great, comfortable and clean place to stay. Gerry is an amazing host, we felt very welcome and the thoughtful touches made this a great experience. Definitely recommend and hope to stay again as really helped being dog friendly.

The place was immaculate and as described. Jessica was very helpful and welcoming and because my husband has mobility issues she suggested we use the main entrance which was easier. The spa was lovely and everything about the place was workable with no trouble getting a park. We didn’t use the loft.

Rochelle’s place is absolutely perfect. It is much larger than the pictures make it look. It had everything we needed and was beautiful. This unit is at the back so it was private. The lake is a 5 min walk. The restuarants are a 5 minute drive, The beautiful hikes are all close by. We loved our stay!

Had a wonderful 2 night stay at Archway. Clean rooms, great hosts, convenient location… and the hot tubs!!! 💯 I only wished I stayed longer! Wanaka has so much to offer :)
