Beachfront vacation rentals in Cape Breton Island

We had an amazing stay at Sheila’s home. Cannot recommend it enough, especially for a family getaway. Convenient location, amazing amenities, picturesque landscape, and amazing communication with the host. We will be back again.

Hubble & I just spent 4 days at Laura's Landing. We were on Isle Madame to visit old friends & do some sightseeing. The house is great - very clean, well-provisioned, & in a terrific location - just a 5-minute walk from Pondville Beach. The few near neighbours seemed friendly & quiet, and there was almost no traffic since the house is essentially at the end of a road. The master bedroom was especially comfortable - with soft sheets, warm bedding, & a perfectly firm mattress. The other beds seemed comfy as well. The dining room was spacious & inviting - a good place to gather with loved ones over a meal! Water views from inside the house were limited unfortunately, but views from the yard & deck would be lovely in warmer weather. Guests may want to know that cell service can be a bit unreliable at times but the wifi works great. In summary, we enjoyed our time at Laura's Landing & would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing home base on Isle Madame! Thanks so much Daphne!

This is a dream location. There are lots of windows to fill up with spectacular views of the ocean. The cottage is lovely and comfortable with an open space to unwind and soak up the beauty of the place. Lots of necessities in tge cupboards. All you need for an unforgettable stay.

Lovely home, privately situated next to the sea. The views were spectacular. The home was very neat and clean and very well maintained. It wasn't too far from the town of Baddeck where we got provisions and visited very good restaurants. We loved our stay at this home. Richard did a good job as our host. Thank you!

The home is absolutely beautiful and clean. All of the needed items are there and it’s clear Lisa cares for her guests. The beds are comfortable and the linens are good quality and most importantly very clean. We really enjoyed our time on Cape Breton Island and being able to hike all day and come back to a home like this was the cherry on top! We’re already planning our next trip and we will certain to book here again!

We stayed a week in Nadene’s cottage in Ingonish and it was perfect for us. The location is excellent and the proximity to the beach and views are exceptional. The cottage is equipped with everything you need for cooking or grilling and the satellite TV was a bonus. We’ve stayed at a number of places over the years in Ingonish area and none are better than Nadene’s. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay. The cabin was comfortable and the view was worth every cent. The wood stove was a treat. We couldn't have asked for a more peaceful spot for a winter getaway. Ton was an excellent host, very proactive, responsive and welcoming. Thank you for the excellent stay!

I stayed here with my parents, brothers and partners. We were a full house but there was more than enough space! The hosts really go above and beyond with making sure you have everything you need and the home has so many super cute and thoughtful details. The views of the water out front are so gorgeous. Everything was close by as well - Sidney was just over a ten minute drive away and the start of Cabot trail around 30 mins. Would definitely stay here again.

This is an absolute gem. We watched the sun set over the water every night. Our toddler was safe and entertained in the big yard and beach. We want to return next year!

This place is a gem for anyone looking to relax, let go, and keep it simple. Which we were. We also appreciated the food and drinks Kent provided. We hope to return.

Overall the place was great, it was clean and the views from the living/kitchen area were fantastic. We were lucky enough to catch quite a sunset from the deck overlooking the ocean, it was nice.

Wonderful place to stay. We met some less than ideal weather for adventuring with our 2 year old and couldn’t have picked a better spot to lay low for a couple nights. The space is beautiful and yet the setting steals the show. The team is working very hard to ensure the experience of staying at Ridge on the Chimney is a once in a lifetime.

This home and location were stellar. The view was lovely. The bed was cozy and the soap and shampoo were nice in that they were not heavily scented. Loved the beach walks

The place is exactly like the photos. Not shown: There is a place to hang your clothes and some hangers provided. This is located downstairs on the first floor. There were extra towels and large ones for the hot tub. There are large transom windows above the sliding doors facing the water that allow a beautiful view from everywhere in the house.

Cabot shores was an amazing family trip. The beach and the views are incredible. The live music was so much fun. Would recommend to anyone

We had a wonderful stay at Julian’s place! The hosts were incredibly communicative and helpful throughout our visit. The home is exactly as described and shown in the photos - a very old house with plenty of charm, but exceptionally clean. It was the perfect spot for our large group attending a nearby basketball tournament, allowing us all to stay together comfortably. The hot tub was a fantastic bonus, whether to relax after a long day or kick-start the morning. We’d definitely stay here again!

Jennie and Guy were amazing hosts. They were extremely helpful and accommodating. Their cozy home has ample space on the main level for indoor living if you ever needed a break day. The deck is large and private and probably my favourite part of the house. The kitchen is extremely well stocked which made cooking away from home an enjoyable experience. The home gets a great breeze from the ocean which kept things cool on the inside and left us with no bugs on the outside! Jennie and Guy provided some excellent tips for things to do in the area and we used the home as a jump off point to see many other fun things in Cape Breton. While not immediately on the ocean, you can still see it from the deck and they were happy to share their kayaks and paddle board with us. A very nice perk which you won't find in many places. The little island is picturesque with lots of beautiful scenery to explore. The local beach was sandy and warm and the two pubs we went to were quite nice as well. Overall, I would highly recommend it. The value for money was extremely fair and we had a great experience overall. Thanks for the memories!
