Vacation rentals in Caniçal

An apartment perfect for family. There were only the three of us, but it would easily fit three guests. The apartment is well-maintained, the beds are comfortable and have all the amenities. All that was needed was to wash the cutlery and glasses. The neighborhood is as described. Super bakery Flor to Garaju , we bought fresh, delicious potato rolls there every day. Good restaurants. The best -A Traineira is about a 30-minute walk, but it's really worth it! The beach is downhill all the time. The train is a 10-minute walk away and you can go down . Quiet, rocky beach. Under the block there is a bus stop, in 20 minutes you can get to the center of Funchal. Other than that it would be nice to have a car. Thanks to this, we explored almost the entire island. Plus, there's a spot in an underground parking lot. I would love to come to the same apartment again. I recommend!

We spent 20 days there and everything was perfect from start to finish. Maria and her husband were very helpful, generous with their advice, fruits from their garden and even cake :) We enjoyed the beautiful grounds and the large vegetable garden and the beautiful sunsets. Everything inspires calm and the sweetness of life. Pure happiness :) The location is really perfect: beautiful beaches and hikes within walking distance and the small village of Arco de Calheta nearby is super pretty. We had the pleasure of attending a beautiful and friendly village party! Thank you for everything :)

What a wonderful way to spend Christmas with adult family. The home is large, well equipped and very comfortable. Communication with Marisela was very easy and she was very helpful. Everything was faultless. We went to Funchal on Christmas Eve saw the lovely lights and Christmas market and sampled Poncha (warning this is lethal). Christmas Day we used the BBQ at the basement level for our meal, watched the sunset and played games (darts, table tennis and pool) - is a wonderful space for keeping everyone entertained. But in quiet times we looked at the lovely views from the balconies and read books. We found many excellent sights to see on the island including Whale and Dolphin watching from Calheta beach (highly recommend). Sadly we were all unwell (virus) during some of our stay and didn't do all of the trips we planned, so that means we will be returning ....Hopefully soon!

Such a great place to spend a few days. Close to Funchal and the sites around the island. We loved the house and the view was fantastic. Great restaurants nearby!

Very pleasant stay. Spacious and clean apartment, wooden floor. Underground parking. Perfect if you are planning to explore Madeira by car. Also nice view and large balcony. Recommended!

The apartment and views are much nicer in real life than in the pictures. Very cozy apartment and the hosts are very likeable. We recommend the place to anyone who wants to have a breathtaking view and picturesque sunsets. In addition, the communication was friendly and we quickly felt at home. Kitchen is well equipped and bathroom as well.

Our stay at woodlovers was lovely! We greatly recommend this for anyone who likes a calmer environment and doesnt prioritize being in the city. Location is good for anyone who has a car and is exploring the island and its nature. The hosts were communicative and helpful which is appreciated. The cat family was also a welcome addition to our stay since we missed our cat at home.

The location of this place is absolutely fantastic. We loved walking to great nearby restaurants and attractions. The cafe next door is awesome. There were amenities waiting for us and the space felt safe. The host was very responsive and very helpful. We love the washing machine with soap provided. It is spacious and perfect for two people. We Just a note on the balcony. We love a balcony where we can sit for coffee in the morning and wine at night. This balcony is too narrow for furniture. Not a big deal but something to be aware of. Would recommend it.

Check in was easy and smooth, communication was very good from the host. We really did feel like we could lean on them if we wanted anything. Very nice and helpful. House was generally very clean and we had a great time there. Big dinner tables for family meals both inside and out and a nice little breakfast bar. Pool was well maintained and kept clean. Kitchen is pretty much stocked with everything you'd need. Only downside I would say is that the garage would've been too small for the original car we had hired, thankfully we ended up getting a hatchback rather than an SUV. The tight roads would've also been an issue for inexperienced drivers. Not a deal breaker though, the house was very nice and spacious otherwise.
