Beautiful rural garden refuge in the heart of the Merindades, an area of impressive natural beauty and full of lovely medieval (from 10th century on) cities and towns. Santi has put a lot of time and effort to build his private refuge and we felt grateful he shared with us. Him and his wife were fantastic hosts and full of helpful suggestions. Their dogs Jackie & Chan were affectionate and playful. The place was huge, well decorated and spotless. All amenities, modern kitchen and cabinets, great bathrooms with a jacuzzi, working wood burning stove and a huge garden with a sitting/dining area and pond with ducks. Private parking of course. Butrera is a tiny town with a lovely romanic church but just a few miles of Villarcayo with plenty of restaurants and a Carrefour supermarket. A really unique place in our extensive experiences with Airbnb's. Our one regret is that we were there only two nights but we will be back to this astonishing area before international tourism discovers it.

My friends and I had a great weekend in the country. The house is large and quiet as we wanted. We'll be back with pleasure!

One of the best cottages we've ever been to. It had a lot of details to make the stay pleasant and it's all thought out in detail so you enjoy the house. The beds and almodas are super comfortable. And the sofas in the area are also very good. The kitchen has everything you need to cook at home. The place is unparalleled and the house on the outside is also beautiful as well as having spectacular views.

we were staying at Jose's house for Christmas as a family. We left flexibility both in and out, something that is appreciated for the dates and for traveling with children. We were 7 adults with little ones and we were very comfortable. rooms for all and 4 bathrooms. The bed that touched us very comfortable. the equipped kitchen, they left tablets for the dishwasher that came great to us to avoid the beating to mop. the excellent location if you are looking for tranquility and disconnection. we had a problem with the heating and Pilar immediately came to solve it while being almost the dinner time for Christmas. super attentive. we hope to repeat next year😊

perfect apartment for a couple stay. You can go with the dog, the mountain views are a delight, the bed is spacious and comfortable, the garden is very manicured with sun loungers, umbrella, table and chairs. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. We were very comfortable, to repeat!

The stay at Carmen's place was great! Communication with her from the first moment has been very good and has clarified all the doubts that could have arisen for us! The house is great and has enough space for all the guests it marks in the description. We have gone with two babies under 2 years old and they have also really enjoyed the stay! The shame is that it has made us bad weather and we could not enjoy the garden but we did not have the bbq of which the accommodation has. All the stays are equipped with what you need and the heating in autumn winter works great! The environment of the place is beautiful so in good weather it has to be a joy to enjoy it! The house is even prettier than in the photos with a lot of space and a huge window in the living room overlooking the valley where you can see how the clouds stay at the bottom and has a giant patio, a good fireplace and a kitchen perfectly equipped with everything you need. All the large rooms with good beds and Nordics and with three bathrooms all very comfortable and complete in addition to beautiful ones. The air conditioning of the house is perfect with underfloor heating it is super comfortable, we go great everything. Communication with Javier very well and also shows you nearby routes and places of interest.

Marta was very friendly and helpful at all times. She gave us recommendations and lots of information on things to do around the area. Quite a discovery! Many thanks for your hospitality Marta!

Everything great! The house is spacious, clean and located perfect for hiking around. In addition, we have traveled with a dog, it is appreciated to be able to make plans away from home a finde and be able to bring it.

We had a great week. Javier and his wife have been very friendly, they have always been vigilant and have helped us with everything we needed. The house is very nice, cared for, with what you need to live there. Despite the cold it made outside, we've had a great time inside. The area is very quiet, a secluded neighborhood. The village is very good. Larger than we expected, with a lot of life and a very Christmas atmosphere. From the house you could go out and walk through many places, things we like. There were quite a few routes. And in the area as well. We really liked it. We'll do it again for sure.

the house is in an unbeatable location for hiking of all kinds the environment is very nice, we felt right at home, we did not miss anything until we had a barbecue in the garden where our dog was able to run, Israel was very kind at all times giving us directions from the environment and some tips on where to eat, and to visit thank you very much we will repeat for sure

It's been a dream stay. The house is even better than it appears in the photos. Super cozy, comfortable, with all the utensils and crockery you might need and more. Very comfortable beds, we have rested in luxury. The garden with a barbecue that with a few degrees more than we had, a wonder. Everything was very clean and decorated in great detail. Communication with hosts has been very smooth. The village is very quiet and is a 10-minute drive from Aguilar de Campoo, in an area where there are countless hiking options, routes to enjoy the artistic heritage etc. I wish I could come back some day!

The house is great to spend a few quiet days and visit the area, everything is very clean and cared for, it has the essentials but it is true that we miss an oven. Getting there and being able to turn on the fireplace or give yourself a relaxing bath in the hot tub is welcome. Very warm and cozy atmosphere. Let's repeat!
