This is a beautiful, remote getaway. This is not a place to go if you want 10 restaurants in walking distance; this is a place to get away from the rest of the world and relax in gorgeous natural surroundings. Everything was in great condition; we made full use of the kitchen to bake bread and pizza, and played down in the arcade for a good chunk of our weekend. I particularly want to call out the host's flexibility: we visited during a winter storm, snowing us in such that we couldn't get out until late the final day of our stay. The host was completely understanding and we felt no pressure to leave given the unusual situation. To that point, note that the driveway is very steep and relatively narrow; if you're arriving in the rain or at night it'll pay to be extra careful. But it's absolutely worth it!

Mountain View in beautiful, quiet setting

We have stayed at a lot of Airbnb properties over the years. Mountain View was GREAT!!! VERY Spacious and comfortable. The property had views that were terrific. Large open green meadow views to frame in the Peaks of Otter in the distance. Outside chairs make that view relaxing after exoring Lynchburg and surroundind towns like Bedford. Dedicated parking was convenient. Inside the property it is VERY Spacious and most comfortable. The property is perfect for a couple seeking relaxation and privacy. But because of it's Spacious Layout several couples can not feel crowded. This property and location was very accommodating and is a rare find and the hosts saw to our every need.

This Airbnb was perfect for a family with children. It was cozy and very accommodating. It came with a fully stocked kitchen for all cooking needs. Extra blankets, lots of towels, and nice extra added touches like a coffee/tea bar, bathroom supplies and children's toys. The hosts were kind and responsive and even checked in on our family during the winter storm to see if we needed anything and wanted some food/snacks just in case. Would definitely book again!

We’ve been staying at this house for three years now!! My family lives in DC, and it’s become our tradition to meet at Lisa’s place for Christmas vacation. The house is conveniently located to a lot of shopping - Target, BN, Best Buy, and grocery stores. The mall is also near and has multiple options to entertain kids. We absolutely love the amount of space in the home to accommodate our three families. This was also our first year being able to enjoy the backyard, and the kids loved the fire pit.

This farm house was amazing! The property was quiet, peaceful and relaxing. We loved passing all the animals on the way to the house and the seclusion. The arrival instructions and how to enter the house were very easy. The house was very clean and well organized, even the bathrooms were immaculate. We loved how everything was labeled and so easy to find, even the small things like the audible door alarms were a great peace of mind for my kids. It is clear much thought went into making sure the guests are at home! A true home away from home.

We really enjoyed our stay Mike & Ruth’s place. Everything was incredibly clean and well taken care of, from bedrooms to bathroom, to common areas and kitchen. M&R included several extras and amenities which made the visit even more enjoyable. Even though we came during a cooler month, we really enjoyed relaxing outside on Saturday morning - tossing a ball with our youngest and having coffee by the pond. We didn’t make any elaborate meals during our 2 night stay, but we felt the kitchen had everything we needed to handle our family of 4. We took a nice walk to the nearby bagel shop for a Sat breakfast and coffee (loved it). The property was quiet while we were there, but we could see how much fun it could be for hosting larger events. We highly recommend the carriage house and other offerings to anyone visiting the area. We will be back in Lynchburg again and I’ll be checking to see if M&R’s place is open.

Dale's place was absolutely perfect! The entire space felt so homey and comfortable, the pantry and fridge were even stocked and free to use from. The place was beautiful and fitted all of our needs for a short stay at Lynchburg. Definitely stay here if you're coming to the area!
