Cabin vacation rentals in Calaveras Lake

The catfish cabin was everything we wanted. We needed a quiet, scenic getaway to reset and found it at Tom’s place. It was beautiful, close to the city and easy to find! Would definitely stay again.

Our First Creekside Mx Experience was awesome! Perfect place for our 8 & 4 year old to practice! The cabin was stunning and had everything you could need for your stay! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone. The staff was fantastic too

Great getaway! We had a lot of fun.

This house is absolutely gorgeous. The view of the lake was breathtaking and the house truly has everything you need! Celeste took special attention to the room's decor and really captured what the house means to them. Fishing was peaceful, and although we didn't kayak, they are available to rent from Celeste. I as a woman loved the pink bathroom and my boyfriend appreciated that the other bathroom had a tall showerhead. (he's 6'4) Great place overall!

It was actually better than I was hoping for and I already had high hopes. We had a great time.

We were in town for the weekend for baseball tournaments, the location was remote enough for us as we are an outdoors family and love to adventure! We got to “camp” between games, caught & released bass, catfish and a ton of perch! We will be back for sure!!! Jamie was so kind and helpful when I had a couple questions!

We loved Sherry's place! We had three families of 4 (2 adults & 2 kids each) all stay comfortably. Everything was clean and we felt it was much larger than what was represented by the photos. The kids enjoyed the pool and we caught and released several perch, bass, and catfish in the pond. Plenty of space for the adults to relax both indoors and outdoors. Conveniently located just off the highway but still felt very secluded. Host was responsive and we have no complaints. We'd for sure visit again.

First and foremost, Maggie was an excellent host! Very friendly and helpful throughout all parts of our stay. The area is beautiful! Very peaceful and relaxing, and not too far from the larger towns you may be interested in. The main attraction, Charlie the deer, is very friendly and it was such a neat experience getting so up close and personal with him. He followed us on a walk and enjoyed the variety of treats we gave him (we learned he loves carrots, chips, and ham was his overall favorite!) If you’re traveling with dogs, this is a great place for you. Not only is the area around the house fully fenced in, but there are even nice kennels indoors as well. Our dogs loved the area and getting to run freely, which is hard to find on Airbnb. 100% worth the trip and I highly recommend.

I was in love when I saw the welcome sign with my name and the little pet paw. Then I walked inside and saw pet bowls, treats and tidy bags. Every inch of space is used effectively and it had everything I could have possibly wanted including a washer, dryer, sewing kit, shave cream and razors. It was clean, quiet, comfortable and just an awesome place. Thank you Karen, I will definitely stay again if I am in the area!

Loved this "Hideout" for our weekend get away to the Hill Country. We loved that the place was in between Bandera and Boerne and we were able to explore both towns. The two horses on the place were amazing and it was fun getting to give them snacks. We were welcomed when we got to the Hideout by the owner and we were gifted a used horse shoe. Wished we could have stayed longer to utilize the place more like the fire pit and walked around. Will definitely recommend this place to friends and family in the future. There wasn't anything we would change about the stay as we felt at home.

Karen was an amazing host! She made check in so easy! The cabin was beautiful and our dog loved it! Karen was so sweet and left food and water bowls and treats for our puppy, which was so thoughtful! Our cabin was about a mile from downtown Gruene, where we spent a lot of time! We will definitely be back!

Great place for a weekend in San Antonio, the location was perfect & we had a positive experience with the host

We had an amazing stay for a quick girls trip. The cabins had everything we needed and more. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, pots, pans, plates, cups, cutlery, toaster, coffee maker, salt, pepper, oil, etc. AC and fans worked perfectly in this Texas heat and we were very pleased with how cool it remained for the duration of our trip. It was very peaceful and the best part was being right on the river, which flowed really well past the cabin and made for a great day, sitting in the water and enjoying the surroundings. Lots of people kayaking through or nearby fishing. Next time I’m definitely going to bring my pole, lots of big fish in the middle of the river and it’s walkable for about 100 yards up river and about 150 yards down river, on the other side of the rapids. 100%, will stay again.

Would definitely stay here again! Very homey stay. Such a great location. Looks as the pictures. Great space for the price. Hosts were very responsive and detailed. Perfect for the San Antonio-culture trip!
