Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Brettenwood Coastal Estate

A beautiful and spotlessly clean home with all the comforts to make our stay a magical experience. The undercover patio is weatherproof and was our favorite place to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature and the lush natural foliage. The monkey troop that passed through daily were curious and not a nuisance at all - we loved watching them for the few minutes that they visited us every day. The home is furnished with an array of interesting and personal items that were fascinating and intriguing. And so many wonderful books to suit all tastes! We were blown away by the dog bed and water bowl that awaited our two small dogs - such a lovely touch! Easy access to the garden for our house-trained dogs. Absolutely no security concerns at all. The estate is a wonderland of walking trails, dams, indigenous natural bush and wildlife. We will definitely be back - 8 nights was just too short! Greg you are an awesome and responsive host, thank you!

Beate's house is so cozy and really does feel like home. The location was perfect for my activities and my daughter and dogs enjoyed the park that is ok literally at the house's entry step. Thank you Beate for everything.

Our stay was absolutely amazing! Leigh was extremely helpful (especially since they busy with constructions) she made sure we would of been comfortable. Definitely 10/10 service!

Carena's place was a large beautiful home with lots of gorgeous, mature palm trees. Carena and staff were so very helpful and kind and went out of their way to make sure our stay went perfectly. We greatly appreciated it 🙏🏼

This was such a wonderful place to stay in the warm summer weather. The heated swimming pool is right outside the door. Every morning it was such a treat to take a leisurely stroll along the Ballito promenade boardwalk, to grab a cup of coffee at Clarke Bay. Wonderful central location! We spotted dolphins almost everyday and could hear the waves while we slept at night. The flat is great for kids as they can play on the communal lawn outside. It was lovely, clean and modern. Wonderful security guards and resort staff. Check in was quick and easy. Fully equipped kitchen, you dont need to bring a thing. Lovely patio with a Weber braai and communal braais also available. Baby high chair and bath included.

great location, clean and well serviced, very secure with boom gate security and entrance staff. there are some items that need maintenance in the apartment, like ligh bulbs, light switches etc.. but didn't impact us much. recomend it for an Umhlanga stay.

My stay was amazing. Kwanda was very friendly, understanding, and helpful whenever we needed him. The place was so clean and looked exactly like in the pictures. Would definitely go back.

My fiancé and I spent a wonderful five weeks in the most amazing apartment. We have had many holidays, in many apartments, this one, by far, was the best. The apartment was immaculately clean and had everything one could possibly need, right down to a washing machine. We had a range of cups, glassware, cutlery, a toaster, a microwave, an oven, a fridge, shampoo, towels, sunlight liquid, hand washing liquid, the list goes on and on, everything was provided. A lovely one bedroom apartment, with a balcony which gave us an exquisite view of the harbour and the beautiful cruise ships. The peace and quiet was out of this world, even New Years Eve, not a sound. Both the apartment and the entire area have the best security. At any given time, security was visible both inside and outside the building, outside continuous patrols took place, keeping everyone safe and everything well controlled, peaceful and quiet. Highly recommended and wound stay again when in Durban.

The apartment is recently renovated and looks absolutely amazing! The views are spectacular and walking distance to everything! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

Great stay at Luke's apartment - really easy access across the road to the public beach for tidal pools and swimming. We didn't use the swimming pool but that seemed in good condition too. Large main bedroom with ample storage (and a fan we were very grateful for!), the second bedroom was also suitable for our needs (two adults) and had cupboard storage too. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery and cutlery, we did not find any basics like oil and salt/pepper which meant getting our own - though this wasn't a problem. We made use of the aircon in the living room, really great extra to have on humid days. We loved the outdoor area too, semi-private with people walking past every now and again for the pool or beach access. Overall would definitely stay again - thanks for the hospitality :)

The apartment was well located in the quieter part of Umhlanga, away from the hustle and bustle. Great for just relaxing. We had great views of the sea and getting to the beach was very easy by car or walking. Filip and Priscilla were excellent hosts and went out of their way to address our requests. We really enjoyed our stay. Would recommend it for any couple looking for a great quiet location with great sea views but easy access to the main shopping and beach amenities.

Khosi's place is well maintained, in a peaceful & safe building. I highly recommend this place as I will definitely come back.

We had a delightful stay. Checkers delivered right to our door, and Ushaka Marine World with all the shops and restaurants were within close walking distance. The promenade provided hours of fun with walking, jogging, cycling and people watching. The area is very safe. There were police and security everywhere and we could go stroll on the promenade late at night without fear. We will definitely recommend the place.

Our stay at Louise’s place was awesome. Was granted early check in🙂. Unfortunately we didn’t have much days in Durban to keep enjoying the place,really wish we had more time,enjoyed the ocean views from my door. It’s a hidden gem for sure!! Only suggestion for me would be please as you suggest places to visit also include the distance they are from Louise’s place. Also include the surrounding malls and their distance from the place. That way a person can choose to visit a certain place based on the distance and time they have. Otherwise we had a great short stay.!!

Great space! Oceanfront as promised. Nice restaurants, a Spar and Tops! within 5 minutes of the place. There's a gas station just outside the restort and it is super Uber friendly. About 20 min from uShaka Marine World. Tam & Grant were so helpful and made the check-in seamless.

Very happy with our stay, walked everywhere, location within walking distance of multiple malls and hotels with shops and restaurants. Apartment is beautiful, modern and cozy. Has an aircon unit which was not listed and cant be seen in the photos which was a big plus during the summer heat. Kitchen also has a stove which we didnt see in the photos. Paola was very friendly and gave very clear and easy to follow instructions, will recommend this stay to anyone.

Rush is the model host. Always communicated well and was always helpful. Ryan went over and beyond to help us after the area had a power outage. Couldn’t ask for a better host for such an unexpected situation.

We have concluded a nice trip in style.

Loren’s place was an amazing stay. Checking in was seamless. The hosts were very welcoming. Our long trip away from home with the children felt like home away from home. The place had all the amenities that you could ask for. The views are amazing! It was a great and pleasant stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to visit Ballito.
