Family-friendly vacation rentals in Brechfa Forest

Just got back from our stay at the eco house, been a few times before and it's still as good as the first time! Excellent and private location, the house is toasty warm in the winter with the underfloor heating and the hot tub is great no matter the weather! Love this place can't wait to go back

Great stay at Andrew & Ann's place. Very attentive hosts with easy check-in instructions and even guided us to a gorgeous coastal walk at the bottom of the road. The cottage had everything we needed, decorated lovely, clean and comfortable, also lush hot tub! Andrew was even happy to post an item on to me which I left behind. We couldn't have asked for more, we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this cottage to anyone.

We had a great holiday. There was more than enough space for everyone. Everywhere was clear. All bedrooms were beautiful. The back bedrooms had the best views. Every beach we went to as changed from 9 years ago. Georgin was a great host. Very friendly & bubbly. My granddaughters loved grooming the horses with Georgin on their last day. The hot tub was great everyone enjoyed it. Thank you Georgin would recommend your to my family & friends xxx

Had a wonderful 3 night stay at Felin Hedd as a family of four and two cockapoos. The house was beautiful, clean and had so much space. Hot tub and games room are a lovely addition. We had many walks on the grounds and the fire pit on the river bank was simply perfect. We will definitely be back, thank you Aled for being a perfect host.

We had a fantastic stay at the lodge, surrounded by beautiful countryside that made for a peaceful and relaxing break. The scenery was stunning, with lovely walks right on the doorstep. The lodge itself was cozy, well-equipped, and the perfect place to unwind. What truly made the experience special was our wonderful host Mez, who was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. If you're looking for a peaceful escape with great hospitality, this is the perfect place. Highly recommend!

Definitely worth staying!! It is beautiful, for homebodies like myself, it has some good Movies and games! For more active people, there are beautiful walls and sights!! Perfect for any type of person! Carolyn was amazing, whenever i needed help, she was there! Even if it was just a stupid question! Thank you very much, will definitely come back!!!

Hot tub was a dream! The four of us and our dog had a very relaxing stay in February, all enjoyed the cosiness of the cottage, comfy beds and loungy sofas. The children loved the play area and the animals on the farm. We especially enjoyed waving to the alpacas from the hot tub! Thanks to Leanne for working hard to make sure we had everything we needed. Nearby beaches we explored were gorgeous - Llangrannog, Newquay and Poppit Sands worth a visit. Thanks for a brilliant stay. We are already thinking about when we can come back!

Absolutely stunning location. It was so nice to feel we didn’t need to travel miles to make the most of the area as it was all on our doorstep. Beautiful scenery, the sound of water coming down from the hills into the garden , bird song all day and deer running around in the adjacent field. Oh, and stunning night skies! Truly magical. Fiona was great in responding to a couple of enquiries we had to make sure we had a comfortable stay. We would love to return in a different season to see how the views change.

Frankie was exceptionally helpful and communicative throughout the booking process, the weeks leading up to our stay and during it. She went above and beyond to make our stay as good as possible. Even decorating a couple of Christmas trees to make it look festive and welcoming. There was lots of space for all of us and it was comfortable and warm. The location is within easy reach of Gower and the Brecon Beacons. All in all I’d recommend this house as a great space for a family or friends get together.

We loved our stay at the cottage and would recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy a mini break away!! The beach is only a very short drive (and not far to walk) away!! We'll definitely be back sometime!!

Lovely stay at a very homely cottage

We had a lovely few days at the Barn, using is as a base to explore the valleys, and sights in Carmarthenshire. The Barn is lovely and cosy - and actually feels bigger than it looks on the pictures. We loved the wood burning stove, with fuel provided and fire made the first night, which was a real treat to use - and if you are visiting at the right time of year, be sure to look outside at the stars in the dead of night, because we were able to see so much. The place would be easy to miss if you didn’t know where you were going, but we had very clear instructions beforehand and found it no trouble. To anyone wondering about the internet - some reviews here mention WiFi, but as advertised, there is no WiFi - which we actually enjoyed. If you need internet, mobile data doesn’t really work inside the barn, but was available as soon as one stepped outside, which was fine for our satnav purposes. Ann also offered to help us access the internet if there was an issue, but this wasn’t needed.

Shaun and Jo were very welcoming hosts. The heating had been on in anticipation of my arrival so I felt relaxed as soon as I arrived. loved seeing the pheasants around the cottage, and the occasional chicken. The larder fridge was impeccable. instructions for all equipment provided. There was plenty of room. I had a very peaceful relaxing stay, and thoroughly recommend.

This was our second visit to Abedar and I fell in love even more. we took family for some well overdue quality time and they loved it too ... our 16 month old grandson particularly loved the birds and the slide 🥰 Tim has made sure that everthing you need and more is there. we can't wait to return 🙌

Lovely relaxing place . Great to have no WiFi. Ideal for all the family we played lots of the provided games. Easy access to local places.

A group of us stayed at the bunkhouse and had a very comfortable stay. We loved the location for local walks. There was plenty of room for the 13 of us that stayed. Lots of hot water for showers and warm cosy kitchen! Thanks so much for having us Kate :-)

Our whole family absolutely loved staying here. Plenty of space for a family of 6. It's a great base for adventuring the many beautiful beaches. The children especially loved the swimming pool on site also bowling 🎳 and the castle 🏰 which are both only a 10 minute drive away. Thank you for a great family holiday 😊

We stayed for a holiday for 7 nights, 2 couples with a 3 year old and 2 dogs. The house really is a home from home, with comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen with everything you could need. Julia greeted us on arrival. We loved the big farmhouse kitchen where we ate together in the evenings. We then retired to the living room to watch the TV and put the log burner fire on! Logs had been provided and when we asked for more logs (as the weather had turned chilly) these were delivered to our door! Kris and Julia could not have been more accommodating to us. But the bonus is the pool. The 3 year old loved it and we used it every day. We just requested our swimming times each day which is a great idea if other guests are staying in the other cottages. We loved exploring the coastal path where you can see the fantastic beaches, though it is steep in parts. Our dogs were safe off the lead on site. Horace (the resident dog) can often be seen wandering around. A great holiday, thank you!

Great, rustic and characterful property. Nice, comfortable place, great location, very authentic. Great host who was always quick to reply and very accommodating. Loads to do on site (Leisure facilities on site) and castles and beaches not too far away (Via a car)! Very well equipped kitchen with everything needed. Good WiFi, smart TV and good size rooms. Upstairs bedroom is open to living room. A spacious living room with ample parking Comfortable beds with good pillows. Highly recommend!

Charming cabin with all the things you'll need inside. peaceful & quiet position on the wooded site. Perfect for access to anywhere in Pembrokeshire. Great communication from the host. Loved it ,well be going back . Thanks Liz

Carl and I had an excellent five days here over Christmas. The Wi-Fi/TV were a bit temperamental following the storm, but Gyles was happy to come round and look at it for us. I particularly enjoyed exploring the woodland behind the cottage, our dog loved it too.

Beautiful peaceful and relaxing stay with my husband and three boys, ages 16,13 &6. Just what we needed before heading back into a busy 2025. Could not fault the stay and we will definitely be going back. Both staff very helpful and friendly. The snow made our stay that extra special.

We had a wonderful few days here. The excellent location made it easy getting to some fantastic waterfall walks. Short drive to Brecon for the supermarket and takeaways. The house is gorgeous and the log fire and hot tub welcoming after a day exploring the superb surrounding area. Clare gave us a warm welcome when we arrived and there was essentials and treats to make us feel at home. We would loved to stay there again and would recommend it highly.

This is our second time staying with Jenifer. The place is always immaculate and they always provide the warmest welcome. I cannot recommend this place enough. Its the best place on site! We love it
