This was our second stay at Dove Cottage. We came back for more as our first stay was so perfect. A lovely romantic or family getaway.

Thank you for letting us stay at your place. It perfect for us. Really responsive host, property was great with luxury bathroom and kitchen spaces. We will visit again next time we are in the area.

Fantastic stay for new years celebrations, Katie was really helpful and always there if you needed anything, the barn has everything you need for a great break away, would highly recommend staying here.

Had a wonderful stay here for a few days to unwind. Was a shame that I didn’t get chance to use to the garden due to sub zero temperatures, even during the days. Managed to make do with a gorgeous view out the front window with the wood burning stove and a soak in the beautiful bath tub instead! Cottage was spotless and communication from Jeanette was prompt and helpful. Would love to come and stay again.

Booked a night in Jacqueline's lovely cottage to have a little birthday get way with my mum. The cottage was as described, super pretty, well stocked and well formed. Jacqueline reached out prior to the stay to provide an update on the local weather conditions, which was very much appreciated. plenty of local restaurants, and stunning scenery.

Short stay but we will definitely stay there again as we visit relatives in the area. Mark was a brilliant host and the annexe apartment was perfect and really warm! The weather was bitterly cold so it was nice to come back to a really warm place. Lots of little extras with breakfast cereal and good selection of snacks. The shower was fantastic we couldn’t praise Mark enough for making our short stay brilliant!

Maybe be worth noting that the views in the pics are not from the room, the room is basement with no balcony but seems like there is in the pics. Have to use stairs to get down and was not mentioned especially if you are not able to park near the entrance

Having a house number would have helped me to find it. Maybe I missed something but I needed to call to get advice on the exact location.

An absolute gem of a place with gorgeous views and endless birdsong. What a way to wake up! Beautiful walks everywhere, a quiet spot, helpful hosts - can’t recommend this place enough. Did I mention the baked goods? Delicious. Book this place now - you won’t ever regret it.

We had an amazing time at this place, it was peaceful and the view is absolutely amazing. The old post house is fully stocked, we felt like every detail was thought about and Mike was a lovely and responsive host. Highly recommend

Lovely quick stay at Paul's, super peaceful cabin in beautiful location. Very helpful hosts who greeted us on arrival and walked us down to the cabin and explaining how everything works. Great outdoor kitchen with everything we needed. Dogs had a great time roaming around the space. Definitely a place we'd like to return again to.

Stayed for a couple of days between Xmas and new year, very peaceful location. Fresh eggs given for breakfast from the chickens and we were astounded at being able to pet the deer who were extremely tame. Good quality linen, comfortable beds and a good quality British made stove to really up the cost factor in the evenings.

We had a lovely weekend celebrating my mum’s 60th birthday. Would absolutely come back here again, what a great place to spend some time away with family.

More beautiful than the pictures give it justice. The cabin is cosy and beautifully decorated. Has everything we needed for a one night stay. Very comfy beds and cosy bed linen. The natural pool and garden is beautiful (even in winter). Likewise for the sauna. A great set up with space to watch to sunset outside with a fire pit and a glass of wine. Will met us for check in and was very helpful and friendly. Ee definitely will be returning to enjoy this place in the future - a little secret slice of heaven in south Yorkshire.

Stayed for 2 nights in this beautiful place. Ria and her Dad Dom were so helpful and responsive. Nothing was too much trouble. The cabin is exactly like the photos and so much more. There are so many personal touches. The cabin is really clean and within walking distance of Altar Rock, Five Locks Rise and some beautiful wooded areas with so much wildlife. You could never get bored of the view from the cabin either. We will definitely return and highly recommend the Deer Cabin. The log burner was brilliant and a lot of wood provided along with instructions. After a long walk in the cold it was very welcome along with the throws and blankets provided. Just fabulous!!!

Perfection! After a stressful end to 2024 I needed an escape for a few days and Ruth’s place was everything I wanted/needed and more. The decor was right up my street and it felt like a little home away from home. Warm, cosy, peaceful, immaculately clean, great location for walks, great views. Milk, bacon and biscuits provided … perfect. I will certainly be back 😊
