Vacation rentals in Bovey

The cabin was beautiful, cozy and perfect for our winter getaway. It had everything we needed to disconnect from the world and reconnect as a couple. Beautiful location to watch the sunrise.

If you’re looking for a private cabin getaway, this is exactly what you’re looking for. Vintage Minnesota cabin. Has the woods, marshy lake area (and pungent iron range water on the downside…) but still is easy to find. Hosts were accommodating with a small extension for checkout due to us having a car problem.

Laura was a great host, very accomodating, and responsive. She let us check in an hour early, which we appreciated. The cabin was much better than we expected. I was concerned it might be too small for 6 of us, but it was bigger and more spacious than you could tell from the website pictures. The cabin was very clean, and all the furnishings were new. Sinks, faucets, stove, appliances, refrigerator, everything was new. It was definitely a modern cabin. I would stay there again. Thank you.

Accessibility is a priority for me so having a zero entry entrance for wheelchair access was great. There is a single step (about 2") from the main entrance to the family room on the main level. Kitchen unfortunately was on the upper level, however, we were able to make do with some adjustments on our end that didn't impact qaulity time for dinner. The yard was navigable in a wheelchair as well and was able to get to the pier. There is a lot of amenities for entertainment for everyone, like ping pong, cornhole and darts. There's also a decent size play house that was thoroughly enjoyed as well. The lake is pretty shallow where the dock is, and a lot of lily pads so shore fishing was difficult without the correct lures. You can find panfish and bass, too. DNR unfortunately doesnt have too much info on the type of fish in this lake, however, thats what I saw. Host is communciative, responsive, and flexible within reason of any requests and felt greatful for them for it.

Valerie’s place was amazing. The surroundings are beautiful and we got to see a Great Gray Owl 3 min from the house. Valerie checked on us to make sure everything was going great. 5 out 5

What a fun place! After the sauna, the kids jumped in the lake - just like how we did it back in Finland! Terrific kitchen with great appliances. And great sound isolation between basement, main level, and upper bedrooms that allowed some of us to stay up and others to go to bed early to get some sleep for the bike race the next day. It really was the perfect place for our trip.

The house was beautiful and spacious for 4 adults, 1 teenager and 3 kids 10 and under. There was plenty to do for all the ages. The trails around the property were great and clear even with major snow drifts and wind covering footprints. There were sleds and snowshoes and a great sledding hill. The seating in the common areas was nice for a group and the fireplace was a nice feature we all enjoyed. The kitchen had everything needed, which was great! Brandon was a friendly and helpful host.

This is a beautiful location on lovely northern Minnesota lake. Accommodations are clean, and well equipped. Hosts are very nice and welcoming. I would recommend to anyone looking for an up north experience on a Great Lake
