The retreat is a lovely tranquil spot in the Ottawa Valley. It is spacious and comfortable, with lots of big windows looking out on the surrounding countryside. The only close neighbours are the deer and the wild turkeys. Carol is a friendly and charming host and she responds right away to any requests. Highly recommended! I plan to return, any time that urban life gets to be too much!

Andi and Hayden are great hosts and the space was perfect for us (3 couples). The farmhouse is beautifully decorated, with a fantastic kitchen and comfy beds, and we enjoyed the hot tub and all of the little extras, like robes and breakfast fixings. Thanks again!

I would recommend it to anyone who wants a nice quiet stay hot tub was relaxing and the separate cabin was a plus for couples looking to get away.

This place is amazing and the pictures don’t do it justice. We stayed here for a week at the end of August and this cottage is set on the most amazing lake which is perfect for swimming and all water activities. They provided everything you could really think of like bedding, towels and laundry facilities. Every single evening we were surrounded by deer as they come onto the property to eat which was incredible to see. Would highly suggest this cottage to anybody looking for a week in paradise. We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! It was clean, spacious, and perfectly located by the lake. The kitchen was well-equipped with cooking ware, salt, and oil, plus a toaster and a coffee machine. The hot tub, located downstairs and separate from the house, was a highlight for my kids—even in the rain! It’s semi-covered with a mosquito net, but bring your own towels for it. The resort’s game room was fantastic, with a huge selection of games and a pool table that kept the kids entertained for hours. We also loved borrowing games to play back at the cabin. There’s an additional shed with puzzles and games, which was another great touch. The hosts were incredibly friendly and thoughtful, making my daughter’s birthday extra special. The resort also has a store for essentials and ice cream, and the nearby trails were perfect for hiking. Thank you for a memorable stay—we loved every moment and hope to return soon!

My partner and I stayed at Chris' cabin for a few days to kick off the new year. It was a wonderful spot to rest and recharge. Surroundings were so quiet and the cabin was so cozy! We can't wait to come back again.

Aileen's place was immaculate and well maintained. The pellet stove warms up the entire place perfectly and the view from the windows (especially the snow) was amazing! only 5 minutes to Bancroft and the guidebook was helpful in deciding what to do and where to eat. Would definitely stay here again

We all had a great time at Christie’s Cottage. We spent most of our time at the lake because of the view and water activities that you can do there. Also, Christie is easy to communicate and answer all my questions promptly. A real cottage experience! We will be back for longer stay!

Our stay at the Robin's Nest was a perfect getaway for my husband and I. We enjoyed the quaint rustic cabin and stayed cozy with the woodstove. The wood-fired sauna and cold plunge tub were a real treat! We look forward to staying here again.

An amazing place to unwind next to the lake and listen to the Loons in the evening. Erika went out of her way to accommodate our very last minute reservation and was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the process. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Don's place is magical. we truly didn't want to leave. The location is great, close to what you may need to get but more importantly, it was peaceful, serene and private. The most beautiful decorated cabin. We will definitely be booking again!

Gord was extremely responsive and helpful! Fast communication. The cottage was big and spacious. Very cozy -- tons of space to relax on the main floor :) we were in town for a wedding and Gord's place was perfect and excatly what we wanted for the weekend.

Our stay at Renne’s home was absolutely wonderful! The house and garden are beautifully maintained, and the location was perfect for stargazing—peaceful, serene, and away from city lights.
