Really very nice and accommodating hosts and a great house, lovingly and decorated with a style all its own. It may be a little strange for some that the house is still actively inhabited and is therefore full of personal belongings, but you get used to it very quickly and then feel right at home. We can only warmly recommend Astrid and her husband's place to everyone. 😊

It was like visiting friends. Wonderful garden, space to play for the kids, different corners to discover and relax. And the chickens were a highlight for me. Every afternoon see what they had put back for us. Everything we needed. Gladly come back.

My girlfriends and I were here for the second time and again we felt completely comfortable. The house is beautiful and perfectly equipped. The surroundings are of course great for walking and hiking, and as always the communication with Tatjana and check-in and check-out worked perfectly.

I never write reviews despite the fact that I’ve stayed at dozens of rental properties around the world. This one stood out. As did the owner. I felt compelled to write something this time around. The place is absolutely beautiful with an amazing view, wonderful terraces, and every imaginable convenience, amenity and comfort. Tim was so great that I wound up inviting him over for dinner next time he’s in my city! This was fantastic place to stay. Tranquil, scenic and comfortable.

The house was great. Plenty of room with lots of amenities. It’s located near the train stop and university. Perfect if you have business at the university. The hosts were extremely helpful and responsive to any questions we had. They really wanted to ensure we had a great stay.

Stayed 2 weeks here. The house is like new and very clean. Johannes and his Family is very helpful and friendly. If I am in the area next time, I will book this house again.

After a long drive as part of a weekend trip to southern Germany, we found the perfect place to arrive and recharge for the next (travel) day in Sandy's cozy stone cottage. We just felt very comfortable. Thank you, Sandra!

Me, my husband and our 4year old daughter spend our winter vacation at the cottage, upon arrival there was candy and an apple with a reindeer on it, for our daughter (which she appreciated very much) The cottage was super cozy, and clean. Comfortable bed and the sofa turned in to a bed for our daughter but you wouldn’t notice u were sleeping on a sofa, it was really ergonomic. There is parking space in front of the cottage which was very nice. We have nothing negative to mention. We loved the heating system on the wall, even when it was -5°C. outside at night we never got cold. If we ever want to stay in the same region we would definitely book with Thomas and Daniela again. ⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The house is quaintly located, not central, but this is known beforehand. It is a lot of fit and also very suitable for traveling with children. Thank you for the wonderful time!

We really enjoyed our time at Gotthilf's place. It was a wonderful stay and we felt well taken care of there. The apartment is very cozy and has plenty of daylight. The bathroom and terrace with beautiful views are great highlights of the accommodation. There are many excursion destinations nearby. Gotthilf and his family are very friendly and helpful hosts.

This home magical! It’s tucked alongside the beautiful forest and the views from the hillside are unmatched. We arrived after dark and our hosts were so accommodating and got us right into the home. The home is comprised of 4 apartments with en-suite bathrooms and 2 of the largest ones have kitchens which made it perfect for our family to prepare meals and also have our own spaces to retreat to. In the morning, we awoke to the most epic sunrise and looked like a quaint Christmas village out of a Hallmark movie. Our hosts Jasmin & Johannes were both delightful, well-connected and the most friendly couple! We booked a hiking mushroom foraging tour with Johannes in the forest and found so many golden chanterelles that we sautéed up with dinner. He also provided translation help during a special family excursion at a nearby village. Jasmin offered so many great dining, shopping, cultural and experiential spots for us to see. We are so grateful to them and had the best time here!

Great Place to stay with Everything you need, easy to walk to the City Centre and lovely Restaurants and cafes.

Really enjoyed this accommodation. Very charming traditional house with everything you need and a very nice garden in a quiet neighbourhood. Everything you need for a great family stay in the Black Forest. Clean, well equipped and comfortable. Responsive host. I can definitely recommend this charming place and +10 points for the Cuckoo clock!

A great place in the beautiful nature of the Black Forest with a friendly and helpfull host

Perfect house for a group of friends with children. The hot tub was a big plus, as was the playroom for children. It's clear that they pay attention to details to make the stay as comfortable as possible. There are many activities in the area for young and old. In addition, the owners Tim and Tanja are very quick to respond to questions and are flexible! We enjoyed our weekend in the Schwarzwaldhaus castle view. Highly recommended!!!

We loved our stay in Ettlingen. The home is spacious, clean, and comfortable. Having stayed at many Air BnBs with a large family, this home was one of my favorites. So many wonderful extras and room to spread out and feel truly at home. If in the area, this property will not disappoint. Many thanks to our excellent host.
