Amazing place. Hot tub was so good and the whole place was nice. It even has a Playstation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house is very spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to have additional amenities to use, particularly a washer and dryer. Our favorite part was the hot tub! We would definitely stay here again.

This house was perfect. The hostesses met us when we arrived, gave us instructions on things they wanted us to make sure we knew (for safety and such due to the temperatures), and spent around 2 hours giving us a tour and history of the house. It was absolutely perfect for what we needed and they were so thoughtful with all of their recommendations for activities with our children. We 100% recommend this house to others and we will be coming back in the future!

Burma’s beautiful home is ideal for anyone who wants two bathrooms (hard to find in Iceland) and plenty of space. It’s in a quaint small town very close to the Golden Circle and not far from Selfoss, which has more substantial amenities. Easy drive to Gullfoss and Geysir, and a small grocery is within walking distance of the house. The views from the sunroom are beautiful. The kitchen is modern, functional, and spacious. The outdoor area, including the hot tub, is wonderful in the evening. The nearby restaurants, including those in Reykholt, are wonderful! We highly recommend this place for people who want extra space and don’t want to stay in the busy capital city. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great spot for a large group hoping to see the Northern Lights and get to south Iceland!

It is a beautiful cabin in the middle of nowhere. It was farther than we had home to items we wanted to see. However, the setting was quiet and secure, one could not hear any traffic. The only downside was the Jaquzzi didnot heat up and kept flipping the breaker. We were never able to use or enjoy it. We did reach out to Hafsteinn he tried to help us get it working, but it never did. That was the reason for choosing this location.

A really lovely, homely place to stay. Very convenient for the Golden Circle yet tucked away in a lovely peaceful location. Fantastic to sit in the hot tub at the end of a busy day.

WOW! That is the best description of Geirthruder's place. Maybe even more perfect than the photos. A perfect location to easily check out the Golden Circle The layout of her house is great with the living area dividing the two bedroom areas. Easy entrance, over-the-top kitchen, cozy woodburning fireplace, presitine in every way.... and THE VIEW!!! And the quiet!!! We cooked a good bit, just for fun. There is an amazing food market just a few minutes away (which was a highlight of our stay), Little Farmers Market. Staying at Geirthrudur's is a must!!!

If you are looking to stay in Iceland and have a central location that allows you to see a bit of everything in the Golden Circle, while still having the utmost privacy, this is the place to stay! The cottage has most amenities you'd look for with a few exceptions, the wifi access is good enough for streaming when you need to relax, the lake is beautiful and being able to watch the Northern Lights almost every night from the hot tub was one of the highlights of our trips.

What a lovely and quiet space for us at the end of a long day of sightseeing.

Was our 2nd time and it was perfect, we had luck to be able to watch northern lights for a while. It was windy but he really enjoy the hot tube and the sauna 🥰 Inside everything it’s amazing and so comfortable It’s so good to wake up and see the surroundings 🥹 a perfect morning with a coffee.

This place is absolutely stunning and we felt right at home. I would definitely recommend this place, especially in Winter. We will return

Our flight got delayed and we didn't get to the Airbnb until nearly midnight but Elsa met us in person, showed us around and gave some tips about our Iceland plans. Very friendly and a lovely cabin with a hot tub
