Lovely 'home' right on the coast. Everything you would want in a place to stay and everything on your doorstep when you are out and about. I am sure we will be back.

I have stayed in many Air bnb property's but Caroline's converted inn is certainly one of the best. Never have I stayed in accommodation with so much space with multiple bathrooms, two kitchens, snooker room, darts, fussball and a bar. The accommodation was immaculate and would highly recommend. I would love to stay again next time I am in the area.

Cottage was MUCH better than expected based on pictures. Garden fabulous. Just few mins through lovely park and in main st. Loads lovely glasses. Nice wee touches like shampoo, herbs. Lots of room. Already planning return trip. Thank you.

Great place if you’re looking to stay, we felt very at home and the house has everything you need! Very clean and lots of space, with lovely large garden. The host is so kind and always responsive. We enjoyed our trip here so much we extended our reservation. Perfect location just outside of Edinburgh so you can visit all the major areas around. Highly recommend!

Myself and some friends stayed in Mohammed’s house for a month whilst in Edinburgh for work. The property was clean, homely and comfortable, communication was brilliant, the area was safe - we’d recommend !!

This was a fabulous property, well maintained and beautifully presented. The rooms were all good sizes and accommodated our group well. The most attractive element for us was thefabulous open-plan living area downstairs which was fabulously spacious. The kitchen was well stocked with a viariety of hot drinks and condiments/oils etc should be cooking (we weren't) and a small co-op is only a few minutes walk don the road. Portobello High Street is 20-25 minute walk and the beach just a little bit further. Nadine provided great recommendations for both eating out (Forresters Guild was fabulous) and take-away (Cinnamon for Indian). What was an incredibly sad trip to Edinburgh for a friends funeral was made far more pleasurable staying in this lovely home where we could all spend time together.

We had an amazing 3-night stay at this Airbnb! The location is fantastic—perfect for exploring the old town. It’s just about 25 minutes by tram or bus to Edinburgh Castle, and only a 10-minute taxi ride, making it super convenient for sightseeing. The house itself is incredibly family-friendly, with lots of toys and books to keep the kids entertained. The fully furnished kitchen was a huge bonus—everything from the cooker, oven, and microwave worked perfectly, making it easy to prepare meals during our stay. The host has really thought of everything to make guests feel at home, and we truly enjoyed our time here. I’ve already recommended this place to friends and family, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Rachel was an amazing host and we enjoyed our stay. The property is in a good location - with the best of Edinburgh within easy walking distance and it was very close to a nice shopping centre too. It was also conveniently located for Carlton hill and you can even see this from one of the bedrooms. It’s a nice flat with lots of quirky decor details which make it a fun place to stay. But above all, Rachel was great - helpful, responsive and flexible too. Thank you for helping us to have a great stay in Edinburgh!

My mum and I had an amazing stay here over Christmas! The place was so homely and cozy. Daniel had set it up wonderfully with Christmas decorations to make it feel like home, and had provided milk, juice and snacks. It was super easy to check in and the place was very clean and tidy and spacious. Easy walking distance to both the new and old town areas, we didn’t need to catch public transport once. Daniel was great with communication before and during, and very helpful with recommendations. We had a wonderful stay, thank you so much!!

We loved our stay at Sally’s place! The location, the amenities within the home, and Sally’s responsiveness were all bonus points. If you have children this Airbnb is a dream! Great apartment location with everything you could need (especially bits in the kitchen!). Easy to get into the city centre on the no.23 bus! Would definitely stay again if coming back to Edinburgh.

We recently stayed at this lovely Airbnb in Edinburgh over the Christmas holidays. The location was perfect—just a short walk to several convenient bus stops, making it easy to explore the city and enjoy its festive charm. The host was responsive and welcoming, ensuring we had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. There is also a fantastic restaurant right on the corner. It offered a delightful menu, which we thoroughly enjoyed after a day of sightseeing. We booked the flat for a few days for my Dad to stay over Christmas. The flat was ideal, Craig had left a few Christmas treats, which was really appreciated. The flat was spotless and my Dad felt right at home. We will definitely book again!

We had an excellent stay. We enjoyed the welcome pack with all the extras such as the selection of teas, coffee and jam. Even the dogs received some treats. The Christmas decorations in the living room was a lovely touch and we appreciated the fire in the log burner being set.

Lovely stay with family, great location just a 15 minute walk into the city. The apartment had everything you needed. Looking forward to going back in the summer.

A perfect location within easy walking distance to the golf club, Gullane beach and local pubs and eateries. The apartment was extremely clean and has been maintained to a high & modern standard.

Absolutely great place to stay with 2 12 year old boys. Brilliant location and so much to do - Caroline gave us some fab recommendations. The flat was in a perfect location - close to the beach and loads of places to eat. The boys loved the bunk beds and I was impressed with the size of the rooms. Kitchen well equipped if you wanted to cook but we ate out for most meals. The bathroom is a wet room - so take crocs for using the toilet after a shower to avoid wet feet - this was not a problem for us at all and the shower was lovely and warm. Lots of little touches were great, biscuits and tea and coffee, toilet roll, cleaning products so if you arrived late no problem - also a shop over the road. Highly recommend as a lovely downstairs flat with parking near the sea - perfect.

Sue was extremely helpful, allowing us an earlier check in, the apartment was warm, spacious & super comfy! It had everything we needed & was great to relax in. The neighbourhood was peaceful & safe feeling. Quick bus ride of 10 mins to the city centre, would definitely 100% return when in Edinburgh- too easy!!!

My 2 friends and I were looking for an affordable yet great place to stay on our short trip to Edinburgh. This was the perfect location, few min away from the beach with beautiful views.
