We can't praise Majsa and her lovely apartment highly enough. The apartment was spotless and exactly as described. Majsa was a super host, always prompt, friendly and full of help and recommendations.

Beautiful apartment, as described in the picture right in the heart of Alkmaar. There was nothing missing. We felt very comfortable and there was even a decorated Christmas tree. Contact with Diwa was quick, hassle-free and very nice.

Small nice apartment that we found clean, centrally located, yet quiet . Comfortable beds, bathroom mini but it is completely sufficient . We will be happy to come back. Sandra

I cannot recommend Akke’s place enough. Not only is it located in a scenic area with a canal right outside the window, there are many shops, restaurants, and grocery stores in walking distance. The train is near by and convenient to Amsterdam, Utrecht, or Zaandam. Akke was very attentive and checked in to make sure I didn’t need anything. The place is clean, nicely decorated, modern, and warm. Highly recommend.

Best Airbnb ever. Peaceful enough for me to write 450 pages and finish my book. Was heavenly.

Nice place, great location. There were three of us with a dog, which was ideal, with 4 or 5 people it gets a little tight. We felt very comfortable, everything necessary was available and communication with Chrystel was straightforward and she always responded quickly. We'll be happy to come back.

I can only describe this in lace as the best decision I’ve ever made. From the very beginning the combination with the hosts were impeccable . The apartment is beautifully designed , comfortable , exceptionally clean and though only footsteps to the centre of beautiful quaint Alkmaar it was very quiet . The recommendations we received were fantastic, public transport to the centre of Amsterdam nearby. I’m besotted and would in the future consider this again as my base to visit the Netherlands . Thank you . My friend and I loved this place and love our host Diwa just as much ❤️

A dream of apartment with a mega view of the sea 😍 We were warmly welcomed. Derek explained and showed us everything. We felt completely comfortable. We didn't miss anything. Derek always responded immediately to questions and was very helpful. It was a few minutes' walk to the beach. Everything is within walking distance. We recommend the place 100%.

We had 2 nice days in the cottage. Upon arrival, it turned out that we had not read well, because we were at the wrong door. Elvira had already counted on it and came to pick us up to take us to the good entrance. In the cottage, the heating did not turn out to be working, but that was immediately promptly picked up. In the meantime, we were allowed to warm up in their own living room by the wood stove. The cottage has been neatly renovated and tastefully furnished. The personal welcome, decoration, some treats, rugs, pillows all added to a homey feeling. The kitchen has everything necessary. It was not possible to bake sandwiches (grill instead of oven), but that did not lead to major problems. Sanitary facilities and TV: fine. The bed is a bit narrow, but that is also cozy. Occasionally you could hear that someone was walking above, but otherwise it was very up to the noise. Elvira and Maurice are very nice, cozy and welcoming people. We definitely recommend this cottage!

Alexandra was super nice and accommodating. Communication was super quick and friendly. The bathroom was super clean and very modern. The bed was very comfortable, the bedding smelled super pleasant. It was almost hotel character. The kitchen is fully satisfactorily equipped, there was nothing missing and everything worked perfectly. The underfloor heating works perfectly and was very comfortable for the cool autumn days with toddler (15 months). The location of the apartment is super central, but still quiet. We will be happy to come back. Thanks for the wonderful stay. Extraordinary praise: shortly after checkout, Alexandra called me as we forgot something. It will be sent to us by post.

We had a lovely stay. Directly across the street you can walk in the dunes. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. And you can rent bikes at a fair price.

The location of the apartment is great. The center is within walking distance, yet it is quiet. Check in was easy and quick. Alexandra was always very responsive and helpful. The layout of the apartment is not quite visible in the photos. Only a real bedroom and an anteroom with bed. There is also the sink and a built-in shower. The terrace is not directly accessible via the apartment. One or two things were not in order with the cleanliness otherwise we were satisfied and it was completely sufficient for 3 people. The place Egmond is super nice and we loved it.

Great place, right above the horse stable. Sometimes you could snort and hear the two horses. That was very nice. Accommodation clean and everything you need.
