Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Bedfordshire

The house was fantastic! It was spacious, clean, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The weather during our visit was terrible and sadly we weren't able to enjoy the lovely garden and surroundings, but the house and games room kept our group of 6 adults and 3 children cozy and entertained throughout. Anne was very responsive throughout and even kindly arranged for us to have a slightly late check out on our last day. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lovely property to anyone and we'd definitely be keen on visiting again.

Had a lovely stay over the weekend with my partner. The photos are great but they will never fully capture the feeling of home that you get when stepping inside. The place has been incredibly well put together and furnished, with an attention to detail that you can only get with a passion project like this. Everything is comfortable, the spaces are well thought out and the garden with the fire pit, bbq and hot tub is what I can only describe as a bit of magic really. All the extras like the eggs, bread, butter and Prosecco (and the happy birthdays sign!!) on arrival added to the welcoming feeling. It’s very much what I’d expect from two lovely hosts and their family, so thank you for our stay! Highly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere tranquil and warming that can be enjoyed any time of year.

Fern cottage is absolutely lovely, we were so happy with our stay. Jodie left us a lovely welcome hamper with lots of food and drink, you could tell she had put thought into what she had left for us. Jodie also left flip flops and dressing gowns for the use of the hot tub. The hot tub was so nice, it was a lovely temperature. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, I wish we could have stayed longer!

My family and I had a brilliant two weeks stay at Gareth and Adam's house in Hitchin. Gareth and Adam were both brilliant hosts who made us feel completely at home. They went above and beyond our expectations, which made the experience feel more like a five star hotel than an AirBnb. The house is well located, a couple of minutes walk from the train station. We really enjoyed spending the summer evenings in the garden. Highly recommend.

Jenny and Peter’s place was really beautiful. The annex was clean and tidy on arrival. Peter showed us around and was very welcoming and helpful when it came to things to do in the area. It was well stocked with everything we needed. An added bonus was their beautiful dog Esther frequently paying us visits throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend coming and staying here it was the most relaxing weekend and a perfect start to 2025! We would definitely like to return.

Lovely and cosy house, heating was on when we arrived and was nice and warm. Walks to local lake straight from the house are scenic and peaceful. Mattress in main room was very soft but okay for the night. Wasn’t exactly spotless considering the extra £30 cleaning fee and a little run down inside but okay all round for a night away.

We were a family party with ages from 5 to 75 . Lots for everyone to do ( swimming , tennis, billiards/snooker & beautiful walks all there) There was enough space both inside the wonderfully converted barn and outside in the extensive grounds to enjoy each others company without being overcrowded. Thanks Sarah for enabling a lovely weekend .

Abbie's place was fantastic for us to meet up with grandparents for a couple of days after new year. The weather was super frosty, great views & sunrise from the house. Good job the heating was really effective keeping the place cosy. Twenty minute drive to Stowe NT for a lovely walk & 5 min drive to the Folly in Towcester for a cracking meal. We're into coldwater swimming and Abbie kindly let us use the pool out of season - first time I've had to crack the ice to get in some water ! The sauna after was amazing & only took 20 mins to warm up. Imagine it must be lovely with the pool in summer. We'd definitely recommend and would like to come back.

Stayed for a night while visiting London to watch the darts. Just as described and just what we needed for a night in London. Bathroom was particularly modern and the small garden was a nice bonus. Communication was excellent and check in was straightforward. Would recommend. Thank you.

We had a lovely stay at falling leaf while we were moving house and needed somewhere to stay for a month. Beautiful location, very peaceful and Milan and family were great hosts.

Paul was amazing from point of booking right up to when we left; very friendly, attentive and a great host! He greeted us upon arrival and offered to help with our bags, he was also available at any point - not that we needed any help as he provided everything we could possibly want! We had an amazing stay, the space was much bigger than we thought and it was decorated beautifully throughout to a very high standard. My partner enjoyed the huge TV, whilst I loved the large wardrobe with full size mirror which made getting ready very easy! Underfloor heating was a great luxury too! A lot of thought has been put into Paul's accomodation, with top quality amenities and so many little extras added. Complimentary croissants for breakfast and cupcakes which we enjoyed in the evening were a lovely touch! It meant we could enjoy our stay and not need for anything. We stayed to be close to a friend's wedding reception but won't hesitate to find a reason to stay again!

From first booking, to first interaction and throughout my 2 week stay with Ben and Frances, the whole stay was simply fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble, loads of help offerred, responsive, flexible with everthing and just a delight to rent from. That the rental space itself was simply everything I could have wished for, made this a fantastic fortnight. I’ll absolutely be looking to rent when back in the UK in the future!

Evelina was the perfect host. I’m so impressed - and it looked just like the pictures! Her place was charming, super clean and very well organised. She had lots of recommendations, was friendly and happy to help. It was the perfect stay in London and wish I could have stayed longer! I highly recommend Evelina and her place to all who want to be in a beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean space. I really found a gem in London & would definitely come back!!

A lovely weekend here for me and my partner. Nigel was very welcoming and if we needed help he was on it. The hot tub was lovely!! Close by restaurants and pubs to go to within walking distance.

What a perfect retreat in a really peaceful setting. I was in the area for a week to attend a course locally and I could not have found a better place to unwind in in the evenings, it was warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean with everything I needed on hand. Christine and Mark were super friendly and helpful, the perfect hosts. I would definitely book again.

Everything was private as we were the only couple at the time and we had great hosts, both Victoria and Dan were very helpful and were always ready to answer any questions. The Cabin was beautiful and there were lots to relax and do with the billiards room and the Swimmcenter. Which were easily accessible and to use both the Sauna and the hydropool were relaxing and extremely private.

Travelling for work and prefer an AirBnB to a hotel. Elmdon is a quiet place with some handy dog walks. I would stay here again.

We had a lovely stay. Colin & Lian were great hosts. The EcoPod was excellent (we liked it so much we’ve bought a smaller one for our garden), opening out into a large garden which backed onto open countryside. Our dog very much enjoyed playing with Gigi. Highly recommended.

I booked this as a gaming retreat for my friend and I as a mini-stag and it was so much more than we had hoped. Super peaceful, the Alpacas and Sheep were lovely to pet and we were given carrots to feed them which was a great treat. The golf cart was a lovely novelty too. We were really well looked after before and upon arrival. The cabin is located in a private and secluded area with it's own grounds, lake and outdoor areas with a large firepit. It is very well appointed and clean with more than enough space for just us two. I'd love to bring the family here but dogs aren't welcome, other than this, the place is a perfect little retreat and I 100% recommend. Thank you, Mel!
