House vacation rentals in Azibo River

Our stay at Lugar das Letras was nothing short of magical. This beautifully restored house, once an old school, offers breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards—a true feast for the eyes. The rooms and bedrooms were incredibly comfortable, thoughtfully designed to make us feel at home. But what made our experience truly unforgettable were Carla and Paula, the two wonderful ladies who took care of every detail. Every morning, they prepared a memorable breakfast for our entire family, filled with warmth and care. Their kindness and hospitality turned our stay into a dream. We can’t wait to return to this little slice of paradise in the Douro Valley. Highly recommended!

We were only able to stay one night in Fernando/Cecilia's home; however, it was wonderful (even in the rain). The historic building is beautiful and incredibly unique. The views over the countryside and vineyards are amazing. Cecilia met us on our arrival and explained everything to us (while also providing information about the area). They were very flexible with check in and check out. My wife and I only wish we would have had more time to spend at Fernando's house in order to explore the surrounding area. If you are considering a visit to the Douro Valley, you can't go wrong staying in this home.

Laurence and Jorge’s home provided a peaceful and beautiful escape in the Douro valley! The surrounding village is small and quaint with lovely views around every corner. The roads are winding, skinny and steep - no different from any other small town or city in Portugal. The home was impeccably clean, the Murphy bed surprisingly comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. A fantastic spot!

This place was incredible. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out, it was perfect. Such a kind host and farm manager, beautiful and peaceful surroundings, and convenient to all things in the Douro Valley. I would stay at this place again in a second. Definitely worth it!

Perfect jumping off point for Douro Valley. The house served our family of 5 well. We had a great experience with the property manager, Beatriz. She was very communicative and even helped us ship home a few items we left behind. Overall a great stay.

This was an incredibly scenic spot to see the Douro Valley. We loved it.

We celebrated New Year’s Eve at Jose’s house. Our stay was wonderful! We asked Jose to have a tree and some decorations, and the house was decorated with the beautiful Christmas tree, candles and fresh green tree branches. There were a lot of kitchen supplies. Everything to cook and eat in a big company. Although it was cold in the kitchen, we used the fireplace. All the rooms are equipped with air conditioning. We also enjoyed eating tasty oranges and mandarins. In addition, Jose and Sergio greeted us with the table full of snacks and 2 bottles of their own wine. Great time in the peaceful location! We would like to come back in summer.

Delightful! So wonderful on cold November evenings to arrive and return to a warm home. They had pre-heated the home to create a perfect welcome! I want that shower! The shower is so spacious, easy entry, the drain works perfectly, the water all stays in the shower. Gorgeous view from my bedroom and the balcony. So many restaurants in town. Perfect for easy and scenic round trip drive along the Douro.

Soraya was a great host, she let us arrive late for check in, which allowed us to have dinner with some friends. The house corresponds to the photographs, as if we were in our grandparents' house! The heating was on for us to be comfortable as it was very cold at the end of December. I forgot to take a hairdryer and soon lent me one for the entire stay! The house is in a very quiet area! Family friendly!

Our stay was really amazing. The space is beautiful from the outskirts to the house. The house is beautiful, very well equipped! Everything you can expect from a house, you can find in space! The hosts were very attentive, answering all of our questions quickly, politely and effectively! Even in winter, the house is very well equipped and on all floors and environments, the temperature has become very comfortable! Really, a dream place. I highly recommend it!

Lovely 2 night stay to break up a long motorhome tour of Portugal and Spain. Luís’s place was perfect for us and our two dogs. It’s set in beautiful countryside with lots of local walks. The house is quite remote but has everything you need and is very well maintained. Logs are provided for the wood burner which was an added bonus and a local baker delivered bread to our door. Luis was a very helpful and welcoming host. It was lovely place to stay. Thank you, Luís.

The property was beautiful. We arrived early and they rushed to clean everything. We were offered the property with the hot tub, and there were all the necessary amenities for our baby: high chair, toys, bed… the hot tub in front of the large windows was an unforgettable experience. Central place to explore the douro. We met all our needs, we were offered port and local fruits. It is obvious that these people care about the well-being of their guests, we recommend it without hesitation.

The manor of the conde das azenhas is a perfect space for a getaway for two. It is located in the center of Fonte de Arcada with easy to access roads. Here, we rest, walk and relax in the Jacuzzi, making this space a perfect getaway. The village is very calm, with little movement and perfect for rest. The house is equipped with everything we need to enjoy the stay including bikes to stroll around the village. We are extremely pleased with our stay and intend to return in the summer to make better use of the outdoor space and the river.

A very well equipped house with everything you can wish for (except wifi but 4G reception is good). The kids enjoyed the basketball basket, the outdoor garden is very nice for eating out. The village is both quiet and lively, it's very pleasant. We were able to do the "camino del hiero", which is a 15-minute drive away. Thanks for everything.
