What a stunning little cottage. Great space for me, hubby and our dog. The cottage has everything you could possibly need and more. It was very comfortable and cosy and the attention to detail is amazing. The welcome basket was an added bonus and very much appreciated. It was just a 5 minute walk into the centre of Bedale and it has everything you need.

Nicolas place was fantastic ! absolutely beautiful place both inside and out was everything I could have asked for and more and Nicola herself was super helpful and friendly made me feel even more relaxed than I already was and got to admire the hard work she'd put into her place and it shows would definitely go again 😊

Deborah's cottage exceeded all expectations, it was simply beautiful. It had everything we expected and much more. There is a lovely walk direct from the rear door, through the private garden and straight into the open countryside. Overall, our visit was peaceful, cosy, warm and homely. I would definitely recommend Deborah's cottage for anyone looking to escape the hectic demands of life, and simply sit by the wood burner, kick your feet up, read a book or watch a movie in peace. Lovely, clean, spacious lodge in a lovely setting with a perfectly placed hot tub. The lodge meet all our requirements. Plenty of storage space, extra bedding provided and all the essentials. Highly recommended.

Stayed here as a base for a day trip to Beamish. It was ideally located, very clean, warm and comfortable. Good recommendations for food and information about shops nearby. Melanie was a really attentive host, very reassuring to know she would be available if needed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we felt at home from the day we arrived. The cottage was perfect for our extended stay (a month) and we will fondly remember our time in the cottage, Frosterley and the Weardale and North Pennines area. Our hosts were very friendly, laid back and made us feel wonderfully relaxed during our stay. The cottage was warm, comfortable and well appointed and ideal for our needs. We would definitely recommend River View Cottage and the other accommodation in the courtyard to family and friends and we would definitely consider returning in the future for another break.

We stayed here as a family of 4 and our Dog for our daughters birthday, the property is absolutely perfect with beautiful surroundings and the hot tub was heated up and ready to use. The hosts were perfect with excellent communication. Kids loved playing hide and seek in the big garden. Will definitely be coming again.
