The cabin has a somewhat steep climb, but it's definitely worth it! A great house where we were allowed to spend cozy holidays! It is one hour from the port in Kristiansand. It was so warm that we did not use the sauna. But in the shower and sauna house you could shower wonderfully (warm of course ) and also do laundry. A washing machine is also provided. Toilet is a lavatory in an extra cottage. The comfort is the brilliant view:) In the house itself everything we needed was everything we needed! There is no hot water in the main house - but a pot to heat on the stove so you can wash dishes. Four of us traveled and used the beds in the house. There was also an extra 'guest house‘... with another five beds. There are two kayaks and a rowing boat on the lake. Life vests are also available. What can I say?! It was perfect for us! Thank you very much for sharing these fantastic spots of earth.

Very nice place, spaceous, has everything one needs, good wifi, good instructions to find it, very nice hots who responds quickly, nice green surroundings. Only non-positive note is the closeness to the motorway and trafic noise, not too bad unless one openes windows though.

It was an experience to be in this lovely house for six sunny days. For us, a small working community of six people, it was ideal. Short distance to the nice little ferry to Arendal, right by the water and spacious. Most of the equipment is brand new and modern. Nice meeting room in the "boathouse"! We would gladly came again.

Our host was always available. He always responded quickly. The house is simply romantic, the location wonderful, all places are quickly accessible. At full occupancy, the bathroom is very small. But there are two toilets. Many loving details make this old house a romantic place. That's exactly what we wanted. The garden is spacious, the terrace large, umbrella and grill available. Thanks Terje for this lovely time.

We went as a group of young boys who wanted to enjoy the beautiful nature, and it gave the place superb opportunities. 300 meters from the house is a wild and challenging hiking route up the mountainside that had the most beautiful view. The owner of the home was hugely sweet and welcoming, and came with an axe, among other things, as we wanted to split firewood. The house was really clean and so cozy with the fireplace. Very recommendable!

What an amazing spot ! This design house is located next to the sea with beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The hosts have been very responsive and helpful. The house is pretty well equipped in terms of furniture's and close to 7-23 supermarkets. Plenty of trails around the island and a little further away. A very nice place to go and to carefully maintain. Thanks to Hans and Anett !

Absolutely stunning location - peaceful and beautiful. If you like nature then this is the perfect spot to sit back and relax. The cabin is just like the photos, it’s beautiful. It was a perfect size for our family - 2 adults and 2 children. Our children loved playing with the host’s son, and all the toys in the garden. The hosts were perfect - responsive, helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We were very sad to leave - but we plan to come back another year. We are taking away great memories and beautiful photos of stunning scenery 🤩

Beard and Ida are very nice and helpful hosts. We had a great week in a cozy cabin and fantastic surroundings. On foot and by boat, you can do all the shopping and reach many beautiful excursion destinations and islands, so you don't actually need the car. Mackerel can be caught directly 100m from the jetty. If you are looking for peace and beautiful views, you will find it here. We will be happy to come back.

We had a magnificent time at the cabin making the most of the scenery and serenity of the Dyvig peninsula, surrounding islands and quaint Lillesand. The property is really well equipped and has spectacular views from the terrace area, shared by the hot tub situated just below. We enjoyed eating our meals in the surrounding nature including a picnic on the ‘mountain top’, curry on the dock, BBQ in the garden and pizzas on the beautiful island opposite. The included boat allowed us to explore the local surroundings, calm waters, picturesque islands and relaxing beaches. Espen was informative and responsive assisting us with any queries. Our holiday was a perfect balance of relaxation and activity leaving us all feeling truly rejuvenated.

Our stay at Joakim’s place was magical! The view was incredible and the cabin cozy and inviting. Joakim was responsive and friendly throughout the stay. We certainly hope to come back in the future!

Great experience. It was such a joy for me and 18 others to come to Gunnar's beautiful home. Amazingly beautiful setting. There was an easy and clear communication between Gunnar and me - so it was really easy. It was clean and tidy. It was a pleasure to get to. There were bathrooms for pretty much every room.

Very nice home located in private surroundings completely without disturbance. We felt very at home and have all the necessary things they were needed. That's why both the house and the place lived up to our expectations. Hans was a great host and quick to answer any questions. Definitely a place we could visit again 😊

Checked out after a few days in the annex of Lise. Everything was as described and out from the photos. Lise and her husband were very pleasant and accommodating with local tips. Very convenient with access to the kindergarten's outside area, only for ourselves 🤩 Thank you for us 😊

Thank you for a great stay. It was so nice we had the opportunity to revisit the beautiful cabin “Knatten”. There's no place in the world as amazing as Risør and Barmen. We very much hope to revisit the cabin another time.

Communication was easy in advance. I arrived late but it wasn't an issue. The door was open and the key was ready. It was cold outside so it was nice to get into a good and warm apartment. Nice and clean inside. My dog and I only had one accommodation. But the next day we went for a walk and saw how idyllic and peaceful the place was. My warmest recommendations for this place. Here we will remove again.

Very nice and service minded people to rent from. Great info and tips for nice places we could travel to. The house was clean and it is located in quiet surroundings. Walking distances to most things. Freshly made beds and towels for everyone 👌Recommended :)

Our family of two adults and two small children had the pleasure of renting Kristina's very cozy summer house in Arendal city centre for 4 days this July. A small house with lots of soul and charm, a cozy secluded garden to drink your morning coffee, and not least; walking distance to everything you need! Within 5 minutes there is a beach, downtown streets with restaurants and cafes, and the harbor with the boats to the islands around. Although very central, the area is also quiet and peaceful, excellent for family with children. Recommended!
