Cabin vacation rentals in Apple River

Loved our stay! It was private and peaceful yet a short drive to shops and restaurants. The house itself was clean and spacious. Nice and cozy for what ended up being a very cold Iowa weekend! We had the best time and hope to come back sometime!

What cute and accommodating place!! Very quiet and peaceful!! And an awesome story behind the humble abode, just ask Cowboy Joe!! It is a great place if you plan on venturing out during the day and want to come back and relax!! The hot tub was awesome. The beds are amazing too. As mentioned before the kitchen is bare except for cooking and eating utensils. So plan for that. We would definitely do a retrun trip!!

This cabin is adorable and very family friendly! The primary bedroom suite was generously sized and the bed was super comfortable! Our children had an absolute blast in the basement. And bonus points for the genuine black out shades in all the rooms, perfect for kids naps and early bedtimes! Truly one of THE most family friendly places we've had the pleasure of staying at!

The house was amazing as well as the fire pit. Unfortunately the hot tub wasn’t working during our stay, but that doesn’t seem like a permanent issue. Riley was great and allowed my friends and I to check in early. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay close to Chestnut Mountain/Galena!

We had three families stay with young children. Loved the club house & hot tub on site. Dan was very responsive. Place is cozy.

Steve was a great host. It was a beautiful area, the fishing pond was easy to access and stocked well. The perfect place for a family get-a-way

My family and I really enjoyed the stay. the place was clean and comfortable. we loved the touch inside with the tree. The resort has alot to do from fishing to golfing. It also has atv tracks. Steve is a great host and very kind. we got to meet him and chat for a bit. Thanks Steve!

Visited from Chicago after graduation from residency with my mom, sister and dog. It was just what we needed. Sooooo peaceful, restorative and tranquil. The place was comfortable and cozy. I really enjoyed sitting outside on the porch and chatting with my family while watching the rain, the fireflies and the mooing cows. Will probably visit again sometime soon!

Great Weekend. Really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. Went on a few nice walks in the countryside. Cozy evenings watching movies by the fire, visiting Galena and Apple Canyon was fun. The place is really nice for 2. The upstairs bedroom was quiet at night and the sun beaming in in the morning was a nice way to start the day. Downstairs, the living space is cozy and warm. In the front bedroom we could hear the people in the unit downstairs, and I'm sure they could probably hear us, so we kept that door closed which seemed to help.

We loved our quiet and cozy cabin in the woods! Perfect for a low key and refreshing weekend. Loved the wood burning stove. The bed was super comfy. We will try and return!

We had the BEST time. The cabin and acreage were breathtaking. Our kids had a blast playing, fishing, catching frogs and more. The cabin was small but perfect for our needs, we loved the porch overlooking the view. The kitchen/bathroom are very small (historic property!) but well equipped. Cabin stayed pretty cool even in the heat of the day, but A/C is there if you need it. We would totally visit again! Hosts were very responsive and friendly!

When we arrived we were breath taken. It was very clean , welcoming, homey, and so comfortable. So many things to do . We celebrated Christmas at the cabin and we were so happy they had a decorated tree it was the cherry on top of our first family Christmas trip together of 2024 . And the host was amazing and very responsive. We will be back soon . Thankyou !
