Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Anuradhapura

We were a large group with senior citizens and small children. Ishantha was very friendly and his caretaker, Janak, made all of us feel welcome and at home from the moment he met us. He made excellent food in dinner and breakfast catering to our needs to create some vegetarian food. We highly recommend this place

It is a big appartement with a great location. We rented a tuktuk and we could park it for free on the porche. From the appartement the city centre was perfect reachable with the TukTuk. Also all the hot spots from Anuradhapura are in a good distance from the appartement. Furthermore we got some tips from Hasith and his wive to do and we could always ask them for help. The contact was good.

It’s a nice place hidden just near the town area but peaceful and felt like home away from home. All the essentials for a short stay is there and surprisingly water dispenser with a full bottle was ready to use. Thank you very much for the comfortable stay.

I visited Sri Lanka for a holiday with my family, and we stayed one night at Saman’s place. The location was very convenient for traveling to nearby pilgrimage sites. The place matched the Airbnb pictures perfectly. Saman was very welcoming, ensured we were comfortable, and provided helpful information about the area. I highly recommend Saman’s place to the Airbnb community.

It is a private detached house, the host lives on the first floor, the guests live on the second floor, spacious and bright, quiet at night.The location provided by the host is inaccurate, you can only go to the main street outside, we called the second tuktuk, check the map after checking in, there is a "Leisure Stay" location is very accurate, look at the picture is this homestay, I recommend you to use this navigation, simple and clear.The host is a small couple, very nice, the day I went to Trincomali bus, called a tuk tuk, and gave me a sandwich.But the chartered driver he recommended is not possible, the driver itself is no problem, but the lack of the ability of a chartered car to accompany foreign guests, the basic English place name or demand cannot understand, famous attractions can not be found, while walking, Dambulla's ticket office is not at the gate of the Golden Temple, he did not know, causing me to walk to the ticket office for a long time.The car situation was also not good and the air conditioning was insufficient.We went to Pidurangura that day, Lion Rock, Dambulla Grotto Temple, Okana Buddha statue four spots, the charge is 25000 yuan.I hope the host will recommend a more competent driver.All in all, the B&B itself is pretty good and I recommend staying there.

It's difficult to find words to explain how amazing our experience in Chamila's place was. We haven't been received as guests, we felt more like a part of the family. Chamila is very hospitable, polite and humble and she, together with the whole family, including Snowy and Scooby, made us feel welcomed, we learned a lot about Sri Lanka, we ate amazing food (!) prepared by her mother and Elena even had a chance to try on one of Chamila's beautiful saris. Not to mention that she helped us to arrange all the trips in the area (and there's much to see - Dambulla is exactly in the middle of the "cultural triangle") and that we received parting gifts which will make us remember the visit when we're back home (we would anyway!). I've been staying in hundreds of places over the years and this is definitely on my personal top three list. If you're reading this, stop looking for different accommodation. You've just found what you wanted and you will never forget this place afterwards.

The stay at King reach (Dulitha's place) was fantastic. The villa is the perfect place to unwind after traveling a long distance. Especially the garden is just beautiful. The communication was also very nice and Dulitha is extremely helpful. The caretaker Wimalasena is very kind and always available. His care and support for guests is next-level. The large ancient lake (Nuwara wewa) built by kings (in front of the property) adds a massive value to the property. The location provides easy access to all the main places in Anuradhapura. Also it is a very calm and peaceful place to relax with your family. The kitchen is equipped with all the facilities and tools we need. The beds are very comfortable and clean. All in all the location is very Safe and comfortable. kids friendly too. We would come back anytime! Thank you for the unforgettable time! Thank you so much for hosting us.

Janaka , his wife and the little boys are a very welcoming family that hosted us beautifully for 2 days. We loved the food that Nisha cooked for us , it was wholesome and gave us a very authentic taste of Sri Lankan cuisine. The rooms are very close to the samba caves. For our trek to sigiriya lion rock - janaka came to drop us in his tuc tuk at 4am in order to climb it with no sun. Janaka arranged for us a safari ride as well as took us around in tuk tuk in reasonable rates. All in all it was a wonderful stay for my husband and I , and we loved how warm and caring janaka and his wife were!!! Highly recommend this place !
