Lovely neat little apartment in a busy area but high enough up to not be too noisy. The lift is a real bonus, and it’s close to everything! Perfect for 2, I wouldn’t want to fit 4. Huge balcony with plenty of shade works beautifully as an extra room. We had lots of problems with the Wi-Fi but the hosts were very responsive and had it fixed fairly quickly, though it did end up very slow. I’d recommend and would stay again.

This is a one of a kind opportunity to live in the Cretan countryside and enjoy life in the mountains. There are restaurants close by in Kalamafka and more in Ierapetra and other mountain villages. The beds are comfortable. The house is spacious and the outdoor deck/patios have incredible views. Apostolis is a caring, helpful and attentive host. We would love to come back again!

Our stay at Ninemia Villas was absolutely perfect! The villa exceeded all expectations – it’s beautifully designed and provides everything for a relaxing getaway. A special thanks to George and his wonderful wife, who welcomed us warmly and supported us with valuable tips about the area. They truly made us feel at home. The villa was immaculate, with thoughtful details everywhere: from high-quality furnishings in the bedrooms and bathrooms to a fully equipped kitchen where nothing was missing. The private pool deck and the outdoor grill created memorable moments. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to Plaka Beach, and the private terrace offered stunning views. The location of the house with a view of the bay of Sitia is beautiful. The accommodation is very clean and well equipped. We were greeted with a culinary surprise. The house is only 10 minutes from Sitia. There is a beautiful beach here and there are several restaurants serving local dishes. But what was outstanding was the beautiful view from the terrace down into the valley and surrounding area. We had relaxing days in the Old Cheese Hut.

We had a very fun and pleasant stay. The villa owner was caring and took care of everything we needed. We are kosher keepers and he took care of everything we will need even on Shabbat. We would definitely recommend to our friends to come and enjoy the unforgettable experience.

We were two families with two children and spend a week in Lena’s house. The villa is specious and comfortable. Pool was nice and clean. The house is in a remote location so you do need a car for everything, but you are in a less touristy and quiet spot of Crete and you can reach most of the top attractions within an hour drive. It’s about 15min drive to the nearest beach and 45min to Rhetymno town. It’s also easy to go to the mountains.

We had a super time with Stefani and Antonis. The villa is super, the pool was warm, the area quiet, and the view down to Herssonios and out right to the mountains was lovely. We chose it because it was walking distance to some shops and restaurants. The village is lovely and a short 5-10min walk from the villa. We were at the very end of the season, so many of the restaurants in the village closed, but we always found somewhere to eat. Herssonios is a longer walk away (maybe 30 mins) and has supermarkets, pharmacies, and restaurants galore, even after the season ended. We found the walk downhill to the town, and back uphill to the village fine, even with 2 kids. Herssonios itself didn’t hold much charm for us, but we found a taxi to Agios Nikolas (delightful), Heraklion’s museum (more engaging for us than the Athens archeological museum), and Rethimno (lovely old town, laneway cafes, long stretch of beach) filled enough of our days. And with a heated pool to return to, no complaints.
