Waterfront vacation rentals in Ambergris Caye

We had booked different accommodations elsewhere for later in the week, on the recommendation of a friend. We found Francis’s place last minute, and booked it for our first two nights on Caye Caulker. Francis picked us up at the ferry. The house was a bit further from the main part of town. This actually turned out to be no problem at all (in fact, preferable), due to the use of bicycles available to us. Everything is a very quick bike ride or walk away. The house was clean, modern, spacious, quiet, and well stocked. The surrounding grounds are immaculate. You can tell he takes much pride in his properties. Super comfy bed, cold ac, beach towels, and a fridge stocked with cold local beer upon arrival. In hindsight, we would’ve preferred to stay here, over switching properties later in the week. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend any of Francis’s properties. 10/10 😊

We loved our stay at Cindy and Don's place. They were helpful from our booking months ahead answering all of my questions, to our arrival (booked taxi awaiting us at the airport), and all the way thru the end of our stay - helping us with recommendations for food and adventures! Super great stay. Included bikes and kayak were a treat! We biked to and from town several times a day. We took our coffee and books on the dock, afternoons in the hammock and take-out dinner on the screened in porch - between all of our island adventures. Truly a place for a vacation!! Cozy bed and linens above par!! Three friendly doggos that bark when strangers run/bike past, but only greeted us with wags every time we returned home. Yes "home"! It felt like home to us for all 9 days. Can't wait to return! As mentioned: bug spray, sunscreen are a must. Expect geckos. Remember to take the included headlamps for biking home after dark. Don & Cindy are as avail as you need, while respecting your privacy.

The condo was a wonderful location for San Pedro. Close to everything in town and right next to the water. Communication with hosts was quick and easy. The ac was wonderful and we would definitely stay again. The only thing to mention is the beds are firm. Not a bad thing just something incase you like a soft bed.

Sue-Casa was wonderful! it was even prettier than the photos. Susan, her pup Maverick, and the cat all welcomed us on our arrival. She went above and beyond to make sure our trip was a good one. She arranged for a taxi to pick us up from the water taxi and had bicycles for us to use the remainder of our stay. We felt very safe and comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Staff is very responsive to clients needs and is hands-on or unintrusive as you want. This is the perfect place to get away from the crowds and yet only a 10 minute ride to town for shopping and adventures.

This was our second stay in this exact unit & we planned our trip back this year around its availability! You can’t find a cuter, cleaner, better located airbnb than this one if you are wanting to stay right in town on the beach! We had breakfast next door each morning & could walk to bakeries, dinner, art galleries in minutes. Check out Dora’s other listings if you can’t get into this one.

The apartment matched the photos and host's description. It was very very clean and daily housekeeping was a bonus. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything for home cooking, making it home away from home. We loved the pool, great size. The only disappointment was the weather - 4 days of heavy rain and no sunshine :(

Stayed here for a week while scuba diving with Ramon’s! Incredibly close to multiple dive shops, so if you’re here for diving you cannot beat the location!! The place is off the main road, but I never felt uncomfortable or unsafe walking around; even late at night. Pista was very responsive and helpful with the checking in and out process! Beautiful view of the ocean off balcony. Plenty of restaurants around and at a walkable distance. Limited chairs to lie out in the sun, and the chairs have a fence blocking the water. This did not bother us, but if that’s important to you on your trip, just be aware. Comfortable beds and clean place! Would stay again.

‘Lost At Sea’ is better than we’d imagined. It’s a wonderfully quiet and private oasis— but not too far (by golf cart) from restaurants and activity in San Pedro. Every part of the home is inviting and comfortable, providing all the essentials and lots of thoughtful extras. We especially loved the pool, palapa, and kayak. Everyone we met was so kind. Eva met us at the water taxi on our first day, brought us to the Airbnb and even helped us to stop for groceries along the way. She gave us several excellent recommendations for restaurants and activities, and was very warm and welcoming. At her suggestion, we booked a tour with Tacio Badillo. Tacio and “G” picked us up from the palapa for fishing, snorkeling and conch shell diving. They were both so kind and so knowledgeable. At the end, they grilled an incredible meal of fresh caught snapper with conch ceviche. There are many more things I could mention, but I’m running out of room! We so enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again soon!

It was exactly what we wanted - six friends with a separate bedroom for each of us, away from the tourists and activity on the south side. Nice kitchen and common area, and the place has its own pier so you can get picked up by water taxi basically by just walking out the door. Was a little touch and go getting connected with the on-site crew, but once we did everything went smoothly. They did fine with check in and check out.

Gary’s property manager was so helpful! He arranged to get us from the water taxi and brought us our lovely golf cart and everything else we needed during our stay.

We had a problem with our sliding door locking. M&B went above and beyond to fix the situation- offered to move us- they were able to come out the next morning and fix the door!

This was our 3rd visit to Caye Caulker and hands down the best place we have stayed!! The house was very conveniently located, had everything we needed, was very clean and the roof palapa was amazing! Nina and Elder were incredible hosts, super responsive and willing to go above and beyond to help us out. Highly recommend!!!

This little house is among the top places I have ever rented. It’s the perfect size for 2 people, especially since we both had remote work we needed to do. The view from the bedroom and balcony was a balm to the soul. Having my morning tea or coffee in the morning on the balcony while watching the neighbors bike to work or take a jog with the birds foraging for breakfast is something I wish I could do every day. It’s so peaceful at this end of the island, yet very easy to walk into town. There is a little restaurant just steps away, behind the airport, too, where we got a very good meal. If I come back to Caye Caulker I would stay here without another thought.

This was a slice of paradise for our family of 4. We have two small kids and Robert and his family made it manageable and fun. The fishing/snorkeling trip with Thomas was super fun. Lots of yummy snapper cooked up afterwards next door. Their home looks out on a beautiful beach. Yes, there is sea grass, but its on the whole island so no big deal. The chairs, hammocks, and yard were perfect for us to relax while the kids played in the sand. Their hotel next door had great food and a great little pool for the kids to swim. We hope to come back and spend longer.

Casa Redonda was awesome! The golf cart ride into town is around 30 minutes, but the south part of the island was beautiful. The house had games, a pool, and a dock we walked out to every morning. It was perfect for our family trip! Barbara was so helpful during the entire planning process and answered all of my questions very promptly. Brian and Cynthia were the on-site caretakers and we're so helpful and nice. Brian even cut coconuts for us daily so we could have some coconut water. the house was everything you needed and it was great having the housekeeping service there each day. Thank you for a very enjoyable and memorable stay at Casa Redonda, looking forward to our return!

Blue Zen resort is beautiful with lots of amenities—-amazing pools, views, pool bar, restaurant, over the water hammocks, etc. The condo was modern and spacious with great appliances and bathrooms. To get to the main area of Caye Caulker, a free boat shuttle is provided. However the last one returns at 10 pm so this is a watch out for those who would prefer to stay out late. There is an on-site Mercantile to purchase extra coffee pods and dishwasher and laundry detergent (none provided). There is currently construction in-progress at adjacent site but we really couldn’t hear it when in the suite. The staff at the resort were very helpful and responsive.

We loved our time at this property. It was so peaceful, out of town and quiet just what we wanted. We had the beach to ourselves. Would highly recommend anybody looking to disconnect and be away from the hustle and bustle.

Wow Wow WOW!!! Kathy and her team were AMAZING!!! We had a last minute trip change and they were able to accommodate us. The condo is perfect--it even had a separate work station. The pool was very inviting and what a VIEW!! They were able to turn a rocky start to our vacation into one of absolute joy and perfection. Thank you --we will be back!

Central location and easy access to the island. Office staff was responsive and helped us with a few items we did not understand. Unit was comfortable and the roof top area a real plus. Mercedes made us feel right at home and very welcome.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon . It was exactly as described. It was peaceful and clean as well. Beautiful views for both sunrise and sunset. Our neighbour was very nice as well . The staff were very friendly and were very quick to respond to any questions we had. We definitely would recommend this location and this host. Thank you to all at Captain Morgan/Villas De Isla Bonita for a wonderful and peaceful experience.

Lovely space with helpful amenities. Happy that air conditioning worked. The bit of kitchen utensils were a nice addition. Even the detail of having a broom and dustpan was great when you’re that close to the beach. Sand easily tracks in. The roof top deck with hammocks was perfect! A comfortable futon in the “living room” was perfect for my son. Short walk from the ferry. Loved being able to drop our bags at the front desk.

The place is beautiful, as is the location. On the beach and walking distance to all the good stuff. You can also get a golf cart that’s also super convenient and inexpensive. The only this I will say is, after reading the house rules I almost cancelled. The list is long, has lots of disciplinary actions and fines but I don’t know that they were actually enforced so it wound up being ok.

We had a great new year's stay at Floyd's home, the home was very well maintained and spacious, kids enjoyed their separate space and the home had all the amenities in the kitchen, bath and to relax , the beach view from the patio was great, bathroom showers were spacious, it was great to have a locker in the bedroom , everything about the home was great, the building had a great restaurant so it was easy access during the rain. Silver picked us from the airport and he helped us book all the excursions during our stay including getting us a golf cart and trips to Hol Chan Marine reserve , he was very responsive and friendly and helped us a lot! Emilio helped us a lot at the Belize airport with our luggage and to transition to and fro the Tropic air for the local flight , he was readily available for all our questions. A great place to stay for a Belize - San Pedro vacation!!
