Vacation rentals with a kayak in Altamaha River

Beautiful home in an awesome location. Plenty of space for our family of 5. Kitchen was really well stocked and house was super clean and well taken care of. Beach was basically right outside the front door and we rented a golf cart (highly recommended) to take a quick 2-5 min drive to restaurants and activities near the main street. Very happy we chose this rental and we would absolutely come back! Carol did let us know to bring our own shampoo/conditioner/soap but I missed that info, so be aware to bring your own stuff on that front.

My 6-yo son & I stayed here for Christmas vacation while visiting nearby family & ours ended up being the place where everyone gathered because it was simply so beautiful & spacious. I highly recommend staying here if you get the chance! Aside from being everything it is depicted in the photos & description (and then some!), I want to point out a few things that stood out to me. The hosts have generously provided ample staples that are missing from most Airbnb’s —- even the high end ones. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve stayed at a rental where I needed to go out & purchase simple things like my own cheese grater, can opener, tin foil, salt & pepper or sandwich bags. These hosts are in the business of “hospitality”, as if they really care about making your stay enjoyable, easy, comfortable and memorable. We felt most welcomed here. I find it astonishing there were starter logs for the fireplace available for our use! Just such generous & kind hosts! *This place is a GEM*

Such a beautiful home. We felt right at home. Very spacious, clean and conveniently located. The host responded quickly to any questions or concerns I had. This home is on my wish list to visit again. This was my first time using an air BnB and with the experience I had with this home I would definitely use it again.

The cottage was so warm and welcoming! I thoroughly appreciated the fact that kids and animals had been kept in mind throughout the entire house. There were also supplies for dishes, laundry, and various other chores which made it much easier to enjoy our stay without needing our own supplies. The host supplied a welcome basket with incredibly helpful information about the house as well as the area! Overall, an amazing stay. We will definitely recommend it to anyone looking in the area!

Beautiful cottage! Love the interior design and the quiet setting. The dock drew us to this house and did not disappoint. We brought our jet skis and kept them docked at the house for the weekend which was perfect and convenient. The Darien boat ramp is very small, but free and easy enough to use, and it's right around the corner from the cottage which made the whole process easy. We loved the cottage and the town and hope to return! Also, huge thanks to the host for having a dog friendly space, it was perfect for our pups. Cannot recommend this place enough, especially if you have a watercraft and can take advantage of the surrounding rivers and islands!

This place was absolutely perfect and exactly what my girlfriend and I needed. MK & family we’re extremely friendly and even brought over some homemade brownies for us. They made sure that we had everything that we needed throughout the stay. Would definitely recommend staying here.
