Family-friendly vacation rentals in Alpujarra Granadina

One of our favorite airbnbs! The location is exactly as described, and the view from the upstairs bedroom and porch is beautiful, especially at night. As described, it is in a hilly location and located up a couple flights of stairs, but it is so close to so many things. My four kids and I walked to all the sites we wished to see during our stay. The apartment is clean, the housekeeper, Jamie, was incredibly responsive and helpful when we arrived. We were even able to get into the main space of the apartment a few minutes early when we arrived exhausted after some travel delays. We would absolutely stay here again.

Maria is a lovely woman and her place is a dream! From the beginning the communication was fluid and simple, I asked if I could put any romantic details because it was Valentine and I wanted to surprise my partner and not only went to buy flowers but placed them beautifully in the bed next to some chocolates. The place is spectacular, has amazing views and a jacuzzi that is a pass! Also the ease of being able to leave the car in the accommodation is very practical. Really, it is totally wise to stay with Maria, she is certainly a special woman with whom anyone would enjoy chatting and having a coffee! Thank you so much, Maria, I hope to meet again!

Rafael was super accommodating and good on communication. This house is simple but the location is amazing in this warm valley of avocado farms and good views. Nice walks around. A good deck for sunshine and being together.

Lovely townhouse in a great location! We loved staying there. The place is a little run down and there was a smell in the ground floor bathroom. The hot tub didn’t warm up. However we really enjoyed it.

We had a wonderful stay at this house. The house is extremely clean, very well equipped, the kitchen is very well supplied with everything you need. The play room in the basement was a ton of fun for our kids. Every room has heating and we were very comfortable every night. I would definitely recommend.

Everything was good and fantastic view and location but kitchen needs to be more equipped as well as blanket and pillow needs more care and quality.

We were at this villa with nine friends and completely satisfied! Everything was as described and seen on the pictures – clean, generous and well equipped. The outdoor pool was not heated in the winter, but the hot tub was great and worked perfectly. We especially loved the room with the hot tub. The villa offers plenty of space with two kitchens and numerous bathrooms, ideal for a larger group. The property is completely fenced, which was perfect with our two dogs (which we were allowed to bring with us at an extra cost – thanks for that!). The location is great for sporting activities such as hiking and climbing, and Granada is not far away. But actually you don't have to leave the villa at all because it is perfect for lingering. We were able to play table tennis and just relax. A dreamy place to stay – highly recommended!

Beautiful little House. Small but has everything you need. Very clean. very well kept garden with lots of options for seating in the sun or shade. lovely pool, stunning views of surrounding mountains. local super market and bakery very close. Would definitely stay again.

Here’s a glowing review you could leave for Gwynedd: We stayed at Gwynedd’s lovely cabin in La Alpujarra for the second time, and it was just as magical as we remembered! Nestled in the stunning mountains of Granada, this retreat is the perfect escape from city life. The peaceful surroundings and breathtaking views make it a haven for relaxation, and our dog loved it just as much as we did! There is a lovely outside space with a BBQ that made it all the more special. Gwynedd is a wonderful host—always responsive, attentive, and so friendly. It was such a pleasure to see her again and experience her warm hospitality. If you’re looking for a tranquil mountain getaway, we couldn’t recommend this place more. Can’t wait to return!

A quiet house, well located near Granada, and near Sierra Nevada. Well-equipped, we were very comfortable.

This is such a sweet little place - a real home from home. Comfortable beds and in a beautiful area with an exceptional restaurant on the door step. It was too early in the season for us to use the pool, but it would be a great addition for the warmer months. The casa is in the heart of the National Park with great walks right from the door. Highly recommend and please can we come back!

Very happy with our stay. Monica was great at communicating and answered any questions very quickly. Pool was awesome. Only 1 small downside - air conditioning unit outside main bedroom was a bit noisy. Coffee machine and pool were great! Also some floats for the sea were handy! We would definitely come back. This is a lovely spot in the heart of a very walkable city that feels inviting, safe and friendly. It was easy to get to this apartment from the train station and easy to leave to the airport using the buses. There are many cafes, restaurants and shops, including groceries nearby in very walkable streets. We walked everywhere, including the Alhambra. The apartment is well equipped and very comfortable for two couples (although only one gets a on-suite bathroom). What this apartment has that you will not find elsewhere is the most friendly and hospitable host - Anastasia. We were about to knock on the door when she looked down and said, “I’ll be right there”. After explaining the apartment she took out a map, shared a google map list and gave us a step by step walking tour form our three day visit. Her restaurant tips suited us perfectly. Throughout our visit she provided helpful tips, was always available to provide assistance at every stage - she even walked us to the airport bus st

Very comfortable house, beautiful area around, great views of the lake! Everything you need inside There is a campsite within walking distance where you can eat or buy something in the store. The nearest village is 5 minutes by car. One of the small downsides is that something has to be done with the Internet, it doesn't work properly, we had to use mobile communications (we had to work through laptops).

Ideal studio to spend a weekend between Granada and Sierra Nevada. Roberto was very attentive and kind at all times. The studio has all kinds of amenities and left us fruit, bread, cookies, coffee... everything to make us a good breakfast throughout our stay. 100% recommended

Pure Magic! This is hands down the most beautiful and well-appointed vacation home we’ve ever stayed in. (and trust me: we have visited quite some :)) Let’s talk about the view: absolutely breathtaking. No matter how many times you look, it never gets old. The mountains, the sea, and the soft background sounds of birds… it’s like something out of a dream. The house itself? Stunning. Thoughtfully and charmingly decorated, with every little detail adding to its warmth and character. Step outside, and you’ll find a perfectly maintained garden and multiple terraces, each offering its own little slice of paradise. We visited in January/February 2025, and despite it being winter in southern Spain, it was still wonderful to sit outside, minimal wind, plenty of sun, and pure relaxation. And then there are the owners. Incredibly kind, responsive, and welcoming - it honestly felt like staying with family. A huge thank you for an unforgettable trip. We want to come back for sure!

We had a great time: the house: very clean, comfortable, easy to heat thanks to the stove, with a generous exterior and very well equipped (table, loungers, outdoor lounge, BBQ) and above all an absolutely dazzling view that you don't get tired of. Pernilla was a great host and always responded so quickly to any queries. The apartment was lovely and the village is just beautiful. So well maintained and peaceful. Just far enough away from town to be outside of the thick of it but an easy enough walk down.

We had such a fantastic time at the villa and its wonderful location. The villa was perfect and had everything we needed and would definitely visit again! Hans responded to any questions we had. A barrier of some sort as you exit the drive would reduce anxiety when leaving the villa, but otherwise the views were spectacular!

What a beautiful and special place this is! The apartment is lovingly decorated and well-maintained, with lots of beautiful art, sculptures and overall a great atmosphere — an ideal spot to stay for a few days. The garden is absolutely wonderful, crazy views on the mountains and Frigiliana and plenty of lovely spots to relax and read a book in the sun. My partner broke his foot while on holiday — which I wouldn’t recommend if you’re staying high up in the mountains — but luckily, Robert was a huge help, assisting us with the trip to the hospital and getting us some groceries and crutches in the days that followed. It’s always a bit nerve-wracking when something happens on holiday in a country where not everyone speaks English, so we were incredibly grateful to have Robert nearby. Thanks again, and we can’t wait to plan our next trip to La Bolina!

The property is very nicely located in the mountains. The driveway is a bit impassable but easily doable with a normal car. To Frigilana about 10 minutes by car. Unfortunately, we had a lot of rain but the house is very cozy and easy to heat with the air conditioners and the fireplace. Carlos was very kind and always responsive.

Marianne is a great host. the house is amazing. it offers everything and it is well equipped. If your are looking for a quiet place to calm down with a great view, this is it. you are also pretty fast in Granada, malaga and marbella or at some of the nice beaches. Marianne takes so much care of the house, the private pool and all the plants which make it a lovely green place with a stunning view! the communication is also very easy and extremly friendly.
