The cabin was warm and inviting, it had all the amenities needed for a get away retreat. It’s easy to idle away time watching the river and wildlife. We hired a car for the week, but within a short walk there are frequent buses to Oslo or to Lillestrøm to pick up a train Would definitely visit again 😊

We (family of 4) stayed at the cabin for a weekend in October. The cabin is well equiped and it has a great view over the lake. We used the rowing boat, the Weber grill and the fire pan (bålpanne) to heat hot dogs and marshmallows. It was fun for the kids :) There’s no shower inside, which is fine for a weekend.

Such a beautiful place on top of the mountain. Camilla was an absolutely amazing host, in constant contact with us in case we had any needs. We could make tea for our little son, turn on netflix and it felt like a little cottage, SO homely which EVERYTHING you need + a very quick responding host. 5 stars from here!! :-)

Great place! The cottage is exactly as described and photographed. A few dozen meters from the lake. The jacuzzi tub available and heated water was a wonderful feature to complete our free time. Communication with the owner is very good. We got answers to our questions right away. Definitely a recommendable listing.

Thank you for some nice days during the winter holidays. The cabin was very cozy and everything was up to expectations. WE were able to keep the cabin warm despite minus 20 degrees. The tømerhytta has its unique charm, the kids and we enjoyed all the games and it was pleasant that the outdoor toilet was heated. Rikke and Kevin were very helpful and easy to communicate with. I stayed at Sidsel's cabin for 2 nights with my family including a little child and dog. After being guided to the cabin by Sidsel -as the cabin is not directly reachable by car- and being showed around, we had an excellent stay. Despite having some rainy days, the location gives you diverse possibilities to do as hiking, swimming, canoeing or -if the weather doesn't make you want to go outside- just staying around the chimney with a view on the lake. I can highly recommend staying at Sidsels place. Also the communication with her is very easy and friendly. Looking forward to stay there again :)

Perfect spot for exploring Oslo. Is a pedestrian area so you may have a little walk with cases but it’s worth it as very quiet spot with lovely view over the bay. Loads of restaurants around so loads of meal options within a few mins walk. Apartment is clean and well maintained and comfy. We were a family with two young boys and they were safe and loved watching their shows on Netflix on the big tv. Second bedroom is small but fine for young kids.

We had such a wonderful stay here. The house is stunning, had everything we could need and the hosts were lovely. They helped with local recommendations as well as making sure we had all the information we needed for the house. Not to mention the gift of some mixture for us to make traditional waffles! The train station is just a few minutes' walk. The kids particularly loved the pool and table tennis table, and I really enjoyed the beautiful walks that are possible from the property. All in all a five star stay.

I was there for 5 weeks. The view is very nice and you have your privacy. On foot you can get to a large shopping center quite quickly, there is everything your heart desires. In general, you can get by very well on foot. I didn't test the public transport. The host is very friendly and easy to talk to. He had offered to take me on a hike, which I also enjoyed. He gave plenty of tips on what to do in the area but also tips for longer trips. All in all, a very great 5 weeks.

A true gem in the nature! This cabin was just perfect! It is located in the middle of Swedish nature, surrounded by forests, meadows and animals – the ideal place to unwind. The place itself is cozy, clean and furnished with a lot of love for detail. Especially beautiful: the crackling fire in the fireplace and the view of the wide countryside The hosts are incredibly warm and welcoming. For those who experience Sweden off the beaten path and are looking for absolute relaxation, this cabin is a dream. We will definitely be back! 5 out of 5 stars – absolutely recommended!

We loved our stay! It was a great location to experience the tranquil countryside (especially in the snow! 🤩) Our children loved sledging etc and it felt like a home from home as well as being a 45min drive from Oslo. Lots of other places to explore from here too. The house is cosy and had everything we needed. The washing machine was very handy too! Thank you again for being such friendly hosts

Delicate apartment, located in a very quiet area. Close to most things. Nice host who follows up and responds quickly if there should be anything. Recommended.
