Vacation rentals with a patio in Alijó

This was a fabulous place! It is a beautiful, full apartment in a lovely spot. It was right across the street from a lovely old church and overlooked a terraced valley and was a perfect spot to stay while exploring the Douro Valley area. The apartment was clean and spacious with a super comfortable bed. We were there during some chilly weather so we really appreciated that the heat was already on for us when we arrived. (It was the only Airbnb we stayed at in Portugal that was warm when we arrived. Most places we stayed had no heat at all.) The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and there was good olive oil, vinegar and seasonings included, as well as a selection of local wines and oil for purchase. We were sorry that we didn't schedule enough time on our trip to stay longer but we hope to go back, for sure! Marli was wonderful! She was always available for advice and help of any kind. She is what we call a "superstar"! We highly recommend this place. Thank you Marli!!!

When we arrived at the accommodation, it was ready to welcome us: warm and cozy, which we knew well since it was an acceptable cold outside. Our pussycat felt completely at home: it was super the will and the calm of the area is contagious. The location is amazing, giving the feeling that we are in the countryside but as soon as we leave and walk a little, we have all the amenities of a city, even in the accommodation, with known delivery services to fill any need. The host, Cecilia was always very available, anything we needed, always responded promptly and with great sympathy 😊 We recommend to everyone who needs a good space to rest. With the calm of the countryside, but with all the comforts and comforts of a city house!

We had a wonderful stay in Helga's apartment. The view over the Douro and the vineyards is exceptionally beautiful, the neighborhood in the village friendly, it is quite quiet there. Good shopping is available in the neighboring village, exploring the wine region is an experience. The communication with the host was straightforward, friendly and reliable. We would have liked to have stayed longer.

We only stayed 1 night, we would have liked to stay there longer. The view is really fantastic, the beds slept wonderfully with nice and luxurious bedding. The tranquility is very impressive. Details have been well thought out of the beautiful decor. Furthermore, it was very easy to communicate with Carlos. He was very quick and extremely helpful.

Very clean accommodation with all the necessities and well located for visiting the north of Portugal and the Douro region. Very nice pool and great breakfast. José was always available. Very good stay.

It was just beautiful to visit the Douro region – and especially to stay with José and his family. The house is situated in a quiet, idyllic village location and is decorated in charming country style. We were incredibly comfortable from the first moment. Already after two days we felt as if we had been living in this wonderful house forever. The evenings in front of the roaring fireplace, with a glass of port wine from José's own winery, were unforgettable. José and his family fulfilled every wish with their warm nature and attention and made our stay just perfect. An absolute highlight is the wine tasting at José's – an experience not to be missed.
