We had a wonderful time at Arild's house! It was even more cozy than shown on the pictures and we were able to relax very much by the fireplace, in the sauna directly on the fjord and fishing on the in-house dock. Communication with Arild was impeccable, gave us helpful tips and even took us on a fishing trip. We highly recommend the location and also the area for a relaxing stay!

The house boasted breathtaking lake views that made our stay special. Everything about our stay was exceptional. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials, making it easy to prepare our meals. The entire space was pristine and well-maintained, contributing to a warm and inviting atmosphere. Hans was incredibly accommodating, always ready to answer any questions we had. Their hospitality made us feel at home throughout our stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful getaway in Norway. We loved every moment of our time there and can’t wait to return!

We loved our stay at Yvonne's home. It was a beautiful house with an amazing view. Yvonne and her husband, Sverre, were great hosts and extremely responsive. The location was great with easy access to groceries, restaurants, hiking, and fjords. We had a wonderful time.

This is a special place! Best of everything Norway has to offer. Quaint island community, a perfect peaceful getaway with easy and scenic drives to Alesund (15mins) or day trips to Loen, Stryn, and Geiranger. Traveled with another family and all had our own spaces, with beautiful accommodations, well appointed & extremely clean. The neighbor kids immediately greeted our two children and fast friends were made. We would sit outside on the deck or pier and listen to sounds of kids laughing and having fun everywhere, pulling fish, snails or crabs out of the water over & over again or playing at the local playground. Not to mention the hospitality of the neighbors (homemade strawberry jam, an evening fishing trip, and some local crab claw snacks). And hiking….. the most spectacular views hiking to Storhornet and back down the ridge to the island school. Meanwhile, the adults enjoyed the endless views from nearly every spot outside or inside the house. Core memories made!

Wonderful and unique property in a stunningly beautiful natural landscape. We wish we could have stayed longer to spend more time here. Easily the best lodging of our trip and likely the best airbnb we’ve ever stayed at. All of the various indoor/ outdoor areas at the property are awesome. And we were very lucky with weather and only one rainy day. It is quite steep/ many steps up and down between the main house, cabin, and boat house with additional lounge areas down by the water so may not be for everyone. Toril and her husband were also so gracious to show us all around the property at check in, even a bit later than expected. This place was very special and would love to stay there again some day!

Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The house was perfect with plenty of room for everyone and more! The huge pristine green grass was perfect for our children to run around on while we enjoyed the jacuzzi! The views are absolutely breathtaking! Whether you are a young family, older family, or friends, this home suits all!

Incredibly special home on the water. We were traveling with friends and we all agreed that it was the most wonderful Airbnb we have ever been at, and we have travelled extensively. Perfect tidy home beautifully decorated with comfortable beds and furniture, fully stocked kitchen, espresso maker. We did have an issue with the stove that Robert offered to come fix during our stay but otherwise perfect. Very remote so no restaurant nearby but grocery store about 8 minute drive. We recommend this home highly!!!

We had a nice stay at this lovely house. Well maintained and insulated. Beautiful outdoor space and the hot tub was nice! Small tip: put wood and/ or addresses where the wood is for sale for the first day. In the end, after a long search, we found it at a gas pump in Alesund.

We loved everything: starting from the location and the house, ending with the responsiveness and friendliness of Kristina and Ola! Beautiful nature, wonderful house, hot tub with the best view imaginable. Would love to have the opportunity to stay there longer. As for the hostesses, they always responded very quickly and in detail, met us and helped with our luggage, even gave us fishing rods when we asked if we could fish there:) Overall, we only had positive impression from the weekend we spent there.

We had a great time at Karl Helge's house. It's better than the description and pictures. There are 3 full bedrooms, a bathroom, a large modern kitchen and a great living room with new couch and good TV. But the outdoor area is better. You can spread out on 3 terraces, use the great hot tub overlooking the fjord or fishing from the jetty. You are completely undisturbed and surrounded by nature. Karl Helge is very nice and helpful and showed and explained everything in the house. The only small point of criticism is the way down to the house by car. Down is no problem. It can be a bit difficult without four-wheel drive and in slippery conditions. The note from Karl Helge with front drive to drive the most difficult part backwards was gold and not so difficult at all. We would love to spend another few days at this great place!
