Spent Christmas at Elaine's with my parents and girlfriend. We had a lovely time at the lake for our holiday. The property is lovely, it has everything you could need and is in a great location. We enjoyed going for swims in the lake everyday off of the jetty, kayaked on Christmas day and visited the other villages on the lake. Elaine and Lee were extremely helpful. Pre-arrival they offered advice regarding how to get to the property. Whilst staying with them, we were given recommendations, bought fish from the local seller and Lee helped my dad to buy tickets for Tikal (Guatemalan card needed to buy the tickets online). Elaine and Lee have taken in a number of dogs and cats that were abandoned. The dogs and cats were really sweet. That being said the dogs were up early in the morning shortly after sunrise so worth being aware of this. On Christmas day, Elaine shared tamales and ponche with us too! All in all a really great stay and lovely holiday. Would definitely recommend.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had a wonderful stay at Magdalena's Home in San Pedro! The location was fantastic, close to everything you need for a great vacation. Me and my family felt extremely safe. While walking around the area can be a bit tough depending on your age group due to the inclined roads, it’s definitely manageable. Luckily tuk tuk are available upon request and extremely affordable. The only thing I would mention is that there was some noise in the morning due to construction, which is out of the host's control. However, I'm sure once it's finished in a couple of weeks, everything will be perfect. The home itself was cozy with an open concept, and the terrace every morning was serene. What really stood out was how attentive the hosts were; they took care of everything and made sure we felt welcomed. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to explore San Pedro.

This is an excellent place where you can feel at home. The premises are exactly as advertised , clean, and near interesting locations and attractions. Kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms are all top - notch , and the city views contribute to the overall experience. As a compliment, the kitchen already had groceries for a quick meal or snack to kickstart your journey (thanks for that!). Finally, communication with Jorge as the host was prompt and addressed any questions I had during our stay. Definitely a good place to stay in Guatemala City.

Clean, friendly small hotel with great personalized breakfast. Clear view of the volcano from our bed! This is out of the center so car, Tuk Tuk or Uber is needed
