Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Adamsdown

Clive & Debra were extremely responsive and helpful from the moment I booked, going above and beyond in all aspects. The location is truly stunning and very private and peaceful - Clive recommended some walks that we tried out.. we walked for a couple hours and only saw one other person! The wood burner kept the entire cabin lovely and toasty, and the morning visits from Maddie were a welcome treat as dog-lovers! The road is what you would expect driving to the top of a mountain, but my little corsa made it up just fine. After the first time when Clive meets you at the bottom (highly recommend doing this), you know what you’re dealing with. Definitely worth the drive up for the views at the top.

We had a great stay at the lovely Canyon Cottage, ideally located on the doorstep of Dinas Rocks. Peter answered our questions without delay (prior to our visit), and nothing was too much trouble. Due to work being done to the roof of Waterfall Lodge, Peter moved our booking across to Canyon Cottage after checking we were happy to do so. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need, including WiFi, TVs in both the living- and main bedroom, board games and a cozy wood burner (for which there is fire wood available, for a small fee). There are a couple of pubs within walking distance, which allow dogs. Our stay was made extra special by a Christmas tree in the livingroom and decorations above the fireplace. It was my first visit to Brecon (my partner is originally from S Wales) and was definitely a memorable one. We would definitely visit again and would happily recommend this AirBnB to anyone visiting Brecon and the Waterfall Country. Thank you ever so much Peter & Lydia!

This was our third stay at the lovely barn and I’m sure we will be back in future. Lots of character, beautiful, peaceful surroundings with a few pubs within a couple of miles walk. Diana was a great host as ever, overall another very enjoyable stay.

We stayed at ‘The Stables’ for the night. Walking in the place was amazing. It was very homely and we could tell that we was going to have a lush night away. The living area and bedrooms were lovely and warm because of the central heating was on already waiting for when we got there. As I read other reviews on ‘The Stables’ it mentioned how cold the games room was. The games room was very cold, we couldn’t spend much time in there. We had one game of pool and had to go back into the house as it was so cold. The checking out rules we also found was very excessive. We felt as if we couldn’t relax just incase we done something out of order. But overall our stay was amazing. We had an amazing time, and the dog was very happy to have a chilled time. We will definitely be returning.

An amazing find! Great experience especially for the price. Leon was an amazing host, quick to respond to messages, gave clear instructions on how to find the hut and some great local recommendations. We really enjoyed the Llageinor Arms for dinner, the walk at Ogmore-by-Sea, lunch at The Old House 1147 was simply perfect too! The hut was like home, every small thing catered for, even down to the things you didn't realise you'd need. Lots of lovely personal touches for our arrival and these really stood out to us. The bed was comfy and once you have the fire going the hut warms up quickly. The location had great views, perfectly clear sky at night from the hot tub and views over the hills from the swing.

Exactly as described a comfy home from home. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Well stocked kitchen. Clean bathrooms plenty of room for everyone 3 big bedrooms over 2 floors. We had a great chilled New Year stay - exactly what we needed.

My transport mad son absolutely loved it. We didn’t have the best weather so it was chilly although the wood burner was lovely. The main bed is super comfy. It is more glamping than luxury of course but so quirky and well designed. Thank you 🙏

Faye’s place is really convenient. The location is really close to the city center and the train station. So easily walkable. Saves having to drive into the city and find parking. The parking space provided is useful. Like the description better for a smaller car. Ours fit perfectly. The instructions for check in were straight forward. There was plenty of information Faye left for us in the house on how to work the heating and various other bits. Once we got the heating on the place warmed up quickly. Had plenty of amenities. Overall it is a very comfortable and central place to stay. Would happily go back again next time we are in Cardiff. Thank you Faye.

We enjoyed our stay in this charming, cosy cottage with countryside walks straight out the back door. The cottage has recently been renovated and shows some of the original stonework and also has other historic features such as a wood burning stove (which was lit when we arrived, making us feel very welcome). The cottage is on a quiet road and feels very rural but is also conveniently close to tourist attractions such as McArthur Glen designer outlet centre and Porthcawl beaches.
