Family-friendly vacation rentals in Absberg

Gaby is a phenomenal hostess. She lives close by and made sure that we were comfortable. She noticed that there was no steam from our outside exhaust vent and contacted us that the heat may be out. It was and our hot water was also affected. She fixed the problem before there was any discomfort and we didn’t even realize that there was an issue. She was also nice enough to bring her dogs by so we could visit with them and love on them. The home is charming and quiet. We visited in the winter so we didn’t use the pool but my wife and I loved the jacuzzi tub and used it nightly! There were many board games to choose from and a smart TV if we just wanted to relax at night. We didn’t see a bahnhof (train stop) in town and the nearest grocery store is in Rothenburg, about 5KM away. So you’ll need a car. I think there is a guesthaus down the road with a restaurant but your choices are very limited in the village. There are also many stairs so the house is not ADA compliant.

This was the second time that we stayed here. Probably our favorite AirBnB anywhere.

we were very satisfied. I booked the space for a family weekend We have a one-year-old with us. There were a lot of toys in the apartment, behind the house a large garden with a fleet for the little ones, slide, balls, gates, shovels - everything a child's heart desires. The apartment is large, the bedrooms are upstairs. Everything is fine. Kitchen is nice and large, a nice fireplace is also available, which provides cozy warmth. The owners live downstairs and are very helpful. We enjoyed it very much, we felt very much at home. It's very quiet. Parking right outside the door. 25 km to Rothenburg ob der Tauber and 16 km to the outdoor museum Bad Windsheim. Highly recommend accommodation for families.

Spontaneously booked for a "little break" and get exactly that. The accommodation is cozy and modernly furnished. There's nothing missing. Communication with the hosts was also great. We are happy to recommend!

I have family in the Dollnstein area that we visited for 3 weeks in July 2024. We stayed at this property and fell in love with the village. The rental property itself is nice and spacious. There were 4 adults and 1 child who stayed at the property and there was plenty of room for us all. If we needed anything, Roland was very responsive and the property manager came right away. The kitchen is a highlight-it's huge with a full-size refrigerator. It is also convenient to have a washer on site for clothes. My only recommendations would be stronger wifi throughout the home (it's spotty in some areas) and clear directions on how to use appliances and tv (there was a learning curve with those at times). Overall, the village the place is located in is a true highlight. There is a quaint soccer park/playground area that my son and I visited daily. The villagers were kind and curious about us Americans but not in a rude way. We felt safe and happy the entire stay.

it was the first time that we ever used wood fired stoves for heating, and Martin was kind enough to walk us through the entire process. he is very kind and had great taste in art. he is an inspiration to us all and we would love to visit him again.

We stayed with Eva for the 2nd time and we enjoyed it very much again!

It was an excellent accommodation experience. Whether you drive or use the public transportation system, it's very convenient. There are also exclusive parking spaces right at the entrance. The interior is comfortable and spacious, and there is a wonderful garden outside. I believe it will be even more beautiful in spring. The facilities are also very complete. If I have the chance, I will definitely stay here again. It's highly recommended.

was a very neat apartment and everything was spacious and clean. everything was to your liking and we had a nice stay. beds were good and the kitchen was neatly equipped. we were 4 friends to the fair and this was a good place to stay to stay over nights not too far from the fair.

Very welcoming and friendly hosts, functional accommodation in a pleasant and relaxing environment. The kids particularly liked the toys left at the disposal and the tractor tour will remain a memorable memory!

We had a good time in the apartment! Everything was as stated and we particularly liked the quiet location. With several people, you should pay attention to the open bedroom in the gallery (is the way to the bathroom), which is probably not for everyone. In addition, a car is already necessary, but the public transport connection in Steinach (about 3.5 km away) is unexpectedly good. Communication with Sabine went great, she was always very friendly and gave us important information in advance. Thanks for that!

Our stay at Claudia's place was great. Ideally and quietly located, the subway in the immediate vicinity and thus quickly in the city center of Fürth and Nuremberg. Claudia is a very likeable host. Your apartment is well equipped with everything you need for a stay. The balcony invites you to linger in the sunshine and you can enjoy the view of the countryside. The bathroom and entire apartment was very clean. There was plenty of storage space available. Personal and flexible check-in by Claudia. Check-out was very straightforward. The next time we visit Franconia, we will be happy to stay in Claudia's Airbnb again.

A Home Away from Home – 10 Stars If We Could! Our stay at Mrs. Heidi and Mr. Herbert’s home in Nuremberg this January was beyond exceptional. As first-time exhibitors at the trade fair, we were new to the city, but their warmth, kindness, and incredible hospitality made all the difference. The home itself was impeccably maintained, and to our surprise, the kitchen was fully stocked —making us feel even more at home. they personally ensured that our entire floor was cleaned daily with the utmost care. Such dedication and generosity are truly rare! Me and my two sons are deeply touched by their thoughtfulness and the genuine care they extended to us. Their home exudes warmth, comfort, an experience we will cherish forever. We cannot thank them enough for support. If we could, we would give them 10 stars! From arrival to departure, everything is just perfect. (also that we didn't arrive until around 10 pm was no problem) You could always get in touch and they were always quick to respond. We will come back 100%. Super nice people and especially for children just a great place.

Very nice place to stay, I would definitely come again. Hopefully the COVID restrictions will be lifted soon and the swim area can be used by multiple families again, it would be a great place to hang out in the evenings for some social gatherings.

Melanie was a great host! She was very helpful with restaurant suggestions and other requests. Her response time was very quick. She is wonderful!

We felt very comfortable with our children in the earth house and on the farm. The apartment is modernly designed and very well equipped. In the farm there are many games (play equipment, trampoline, pool, go-karts, table tennis, volleyball, badminton and much more) and animals. The Bartel family was always friendly and created spontaneous horseback riding for our children. Thank you for the great time!

Very great and lovingly managed and thoughtful complex: four of us had the AC apartment ( enough space with a balcony, everything you need and very clean). The outdoor area is great for children and adults: natural pool ( nice and big) , playground and possibility to grill and the location on the small lake is really nice. Family Ballheim is super nice and you immediately feel welcome Thanks to Melanie!!

Always friendly! We felt very comfortable in the very cozy, clean apartment, with campfire and charcoal grill! Great for up to 10 people!
