Quadrilatero (four sides) describes the area located between the Porta Palatina, almost intact, the Decumana (or Praetoria) absorbed by Palazzo Madama and two other doors now gone. Vastly gentrified, the area is a charming conglomerate of illustrious palaces, Baroque and Romanesque churches, trendy restaurants and boutiques and antique book stores. Great for both a day or evening visit or both.
