Traveler advice

What to pack

Bring your preferred bug spray, water, an umbrella and sunscreen

Apply as needed before dusk and as long as you're outside for "Noseeums" and mosquitoes. Hydrate often! The heat and humidity will catch you by surprise. It rains often between May-September so bring umbrellas and/or ponchos. Sunscreen is a must!
Getting around

Beware of I-4

I-4, the interstate that leads to Universal, Sea World and Disney World can be dangerous. There are frequent accidents. You can avoid the traffic by using the middle toll lanes.
Customs and culture

Respect our diversity in Central Florida

We are blessed to have many diverse ethnicities here! For example, there are many Islanders and transplants from New York and New Jersey. They drive differently and honk often sometimes. Don't engage with road rage. Please be respectful and patience with our Spanish-speaking friends in our community.

Getting around

How far is Disney?

Disney World is about 45 minutes south off of I-4.
Getting around

There are no rental cars available. What should I do?

Book a Turo car or use Uber or Lyft. I have two vehicles available on Turo: a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country edition and a 2013 Buick LaCrosse Premium https://turo.com/cars1402621 and https://turo.com/cars1368053
Ways to save

Get groceries at Aldi's

Safe money on groceries by shopping at an Aldi's. They have lots of produce, organic options and order pickup and delivery. Bring a quarter for the shopping cart ("buggy") and your own bags or boxes. I can shop for a family of four for 10 days with $130 at Aldi's!
