Sightseeing

The area owes its name to its most prominent topographic feature. With an extension of approximately 5.6 miles in the heart of the Central Cordillera of Puerto Rico, the San Cristóbal Canyon is a unique geomorphological phenomenon resulting from tectonic movements that caused the surface earth's crust to rise throughout the region. It is one of the most spectacular and significant geological features in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. These rivers and ponds created by nature are visited by families during the weekends. Mr. Samuel Oliveras is our tour guide for the San Cristóbal Canyon. You can call him and start the arrangements. He speaks English, we use it for all guests. (787) 647-3402

Traveler advice

Book before you go

CHINCHORREO

If you’re in search of a more adventurous, mixing-with-the-locals kind of experience, you should try going on one of the many chinchorreo routes Puerto Rico has! Chinchorreo in Puerto Rico is a trendy day activity that locals love to do on the weekends and holidays. Usually it’s a gathering with a group of friends to go on a road trip around a certain route, making multiple stops in chinchorros for drinks, food, play pool, dance with a jukebox or live music and have fun with friends. You start in Barranquitas at El Criollito Rest, Small Town Rest, Pikilos Rest, Caldosos Rest, Asador San Miguel
